Huzzah! Same-Sex Marriage Ban Overturned in California. “San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer ruled Monday that while withholding marriage licenses from gays and lesbians has been the status quo, it constitutes discrimination the state can no longer justify.
‘The state’s protracted denial of equal protection cannot be justified simply because such constitutional violation has become traditional,’ Kramer wrote.”
Well, this is just great! Wait, hold on a minute…
Uh oh… Well, now that my wife has heard the news, she’s telling me we need to get divorced. Eeeeeesh! The conservatives were right! Damn those same-sex marriages splitting up me and my wife! Now we both will have to marry dogs!
[Update: The wife and I just came back from the Humane Society. Now that a California judge ruled that same-sex marriages are acceptable, we'll just have to divorce each other and marry dogs; that's what the conservatives tell us, so it must be true. I've got my eye on a Siberian Husky, and wifey's got a thing for a little Chihuahua. But we're not sure; these kind of relationships take time. We think head back later and let them smell our behinds.]
Hahaha… That’s GREAT!
Quite why the right wing always seemed to link beastality and same-sex marriage I don’t know, but it’s nice to know all of America hasn’t gone completely insane.
What always tickles me, Hare, is the Right-Wing mind-set that “marriage is ONLY between one man and one woman”…my question is, what about those billion or so folks out there in this wide wide world who are polygamous? I’m sure they would disagree. I know I would. I personally know what WE could call,”uncommon-law multiple marriages”. I’m sure that there are a whole flock of rabid right-wing republinazis out there frantically masturbating over the thought of that while frothing at the mouth over the outrage..after all how dare some people have the courage to do something that they only wish they had the courage to do?
