I’ve just heard this on the radio, and the TV, and OK, in the newspaper, and on the internet chat sites, and oh, got a text message too.
Anyway, here’s the breaking news:
The pope is dead.
Just in case you hadn’t heard.
Tomorrow’s breaking news: They’re apparently going to bury him.
Monday: In What, Dear Liza?
Tuesday: A Coffin, Dear Henry.
Wednesday: But the Coffin’s too Small, Dear Liza…
Now that the funeral is over, I felt shame and humiliation as people booed Bush as he was seated at the funeral-not that I wouldn’t have had I been there. I just hate that this fool is in the highest office of this country.
On the other hand I was delighted to find out today that Bill Clinton was mobbed and greeted with adoring chants of U.S.A.!, U.S.A.!, U.S.A.! while going for a walk in Rome.
I thought it was rather bizarre that Bush even attended the funeral given the fact that John Paul II, and in the eyes of many devout Catholic leaders, think Bush bears all the hallmarks of the third anti-christ. The Pope, who grew up facing the evils of Hitler and Stalin, knew evil when he saw it. Surely, Bush was aware of the late Pope’s thoughts, so I wonder what was in it for Bush to attend.
