Let me say it again: Coward!
The New York Times today reports that George W. Bush created new rules to let the National Security Agency spy on everyday innocent American citizens in fishing expeditions to find evidence of “terrorist” activity… without so much as a warrant or a judge’s approval.
Before Bush secretly changed the rules, the NSA was specifically forbidden from spying without a warrant inside American borders. But Bush decided to let the NSA start monitoring phone calls originating inside the United States. Of American citizens. Even those not suspected of a crime. Without warrants. Without notification. Under the cover of secrecy.
According to the article, as government officials outside the NSA are finally finding out about this program, they are raising gigantic red flags about its violation of the United States Constitution. The United States Constitution that George W. Bush has twice sworn to uphold and protect above all else.
“Trust me.” — George W. Bush, Dec. 18, 2002
George W. Bush violated your rights as an American citizen. George W. Bush, the Republican opponent of Big Government, empowered Big Brother. Thanks to Bush’s secret move, Big Brother can listen in on your life you whenever Big Brother wants to. Big Brother doesn’t need a reason. Big Brother doesn’t have to justify its behavior to anybody. You will have no notice. You will have no recourse.
Because he didn’t have the guts to pull his Stasi move straight to the faces of the American citizens he works for, because he didn’t want to have to handle the criticisms of those who believe in the values in the United States Constitution, because he didn’t want it to hurt his political image as a good guy, George W. Bush made this sweeping, unprecedented policy change without informing the nation that had put its trust in him, keeping it a little secret between him and the spooks at the NSA.
George W. Bush subverted the Constitution and violated your rights, and he didn’t have the courage to make the change in public.
And then, when George W. Bush found out the New York Times was going to spill the beans, he told them to not to write the article, and succeeded in stopping the publication of an article for an entire year.
COWARD!

Wait. So how is that possible? How can Bush just ask the New York Times to sit on a BOMBSHELL article like this for a year, AND THEY COMPLY?! Wouldn’t that be like Clinton asking for them to sit on the Lewinsky information? Why am i not seeing how this happens here? Are the papers so in bed with politicians that they don’t provide independent investigation any longer, but only write what they’re told? What is this, effing Moscow and Pravda from the old days? What is going on? i know that they’ve been complicit by being biased, but jeez louise, when did they give up they’re independence and freedom? How can they hope to be believable now? If i had a subscription to the NYTimes, i’d cancel it right now.
the liberal media working for you!
