When old landmarks crumble, established roads no longer lead the way. New paths open to those with an irregular eye. Our news is unfit for print.

The way I see this website is largely a forum for free speech. Freedom of expression seems to be discussed here almost daily. If we are serious about free speech we are as interested in protecting the freedom of expression of those we disagree with as much as those we agree with. As Chomsky says, it's easy to support freedom of expression for those we agree with. I think if this site were to publish contact information of any sort, people would feel less secure posting potentially controversial comments. We would be the poorer for it.
Thanks for removing the gobshites contact info Jim.

Scott,

Good catch. Actually, this person sent us an e-mail directly, not a comment, so strictly speaking we could be consistent and still publsh their e-mail address. But, in the name of being kind to the cruel, I've edited it out.

Not that I give a crap about this idiot, but when I leave a comment, the form that I fill in says that my email will not be published.

I'm personally amazed that this guy is able to hold a job. He sounds like a complete idiot. Too bad he didn't include where he works, so we could let his boss know what a tolerant person he is.
