What Did Bush Get to the Bottom Of?

Although a White House official told the Washington Post in September 2003 that George W. Bush said “I want to get to the bottom of this” when asked about the case of leaked classified information regarding Joseph Wilson and Valerie Plame, we now know that Bush himself authorized the leak of classified information. We all know that George W. Bush is NOT a liar! No, sir. Clearly, then, Bush wasn’t referring to leaks that he wanted to get to the bottom of, but something else.

So what did Bush really mean when he said “I want to get to the bottom of this?”

Did he mean he wanted to get to the bottom of the barrel?

Was he looking forward to the day when his poll ratings would bottom out?

Help me out here. How do we best interpret the words of our clearly non-lying president?

Firing Mary Mccarthy from the CIA is what. Some leakers are more equal than others.
