I live in Mexico and never thought about moving to the USA for permanent living, it’s a great place for shopping and.. I guess that’s it. I was reading on the news a couple of days ago about GM, and how they are pretending to bring the buisness to Mexico and China due to the high cost of the labour in the USA, they can hire 5 mexicans for a salary of 1 US citizen, and let’s dont speak about China. I don’t blame you guys to be pissed off about all this, I know Mexico is also picky on Guatemala or Honduras or poorer countries immigration. One day I was listening the Mexican news with my Mom, and there were some of our people making a mess, and my mom said some racist commentaries about it. I mean, my mom who is so catholic and lovely and MEXICAN!! She said, they are lower class, I wonder how they let them in!! We are racist even in our own country!!! I try to understand what it is , our indosincracy is so mixed.. And I totally understand that you don’t like that our people go there and don’t pay tax, I try to understand too, why the minimum wage here is 3.50 usd a day.. not an hour a day, when our government is making lots of money with drugs and taxes.. and then people go to live the “american dream”. I just wanted to let you know that the opinion of the hard working Mexicans that I have worked with feel most of there people that are “good people” work in Mexico. They come over here for only one of two reasons, to get more pay for there skills (Myself I feel these people are an asset to this country) or to get our free hand outs!. I am of Spanish decent (probably Mexican even) and I can say that Mexican immigrants of today are the rudest, dirtiest, loudest, and most obnoxious pieces of shit to ever enter this country. Most of the time they plan on it. They come here and live together so that they can afford to live on minimum wage jobs and save to support impoverished families back home. After 5 or so years they have saved enough to return home and support the ones they love. I used to work for Quik Trip in Kansas City and am always suprised by people saying they are rude and obnoxious. The Mexican immigrents were actually my favorite and most trust worthy customers.

I almost fully agree. I don’t believe mexicans should be required to learn english. Just that if they don’t want to learn english they must work in the back their whole life. Nothing pisses me off more than a fucking mexican waitress at Applebees. I believe most mexicans who are sane want to learn english, work a decent job, and utilize birth control to make their life better without the help of fucking WIC or welfare.

I agree that there should be some measure to make Mexicans learn English for their own good. I can’t tell you how many times my parents have lost opportunities for success and a higher quality of life just because they REFUSE to learn English
However, and this may just be the Machiavelli in me talking, but the environment does make it so that the smarter Mexicans and Mexican-Americans stand out.
