Judge Finds Bush Broke the Law

The blog Imprison Bush has read through the legal opinion written by District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor, and found that she didn’t just find that Bush violated the Constitution of the United States. She ruled that President Bush broke the law by setting up his warrantless wiretapping program through the National Security Agency.

Now, the Constitution of the United States provides a particular solution when the President breaks the law. It’s called impeachment.

Whose job is it to impeach? Congress. Congress isn’t doing its job. So, now it’s the job of the states to take up the burden enforce the law. The states also have the power to force Congress to act.

This is serious stuff, folks. Consider the final words Anna Diggs Taylor included in her ruling: “Plaintiffs have prevailed, and the public interest is clear, in this matter. It is the upholding of our Constitution.”

This is the time when it will be seen if Americans really care much about democracy, or if they care more about whether Jennifer Aniston is or is not engaged.

As much as I would love to see it happen, I think that the last thing we could ever expect to see is impeachment hearings taking place in a congress(that, currently, is overrun by the GOP) against Bush. I would happily stipulate that Bush’s rape of the Constitution, sadistic treatment of the prisoners at Guantanimo, and sodomization of the American public as a whole, are far and away more serious than Bill Clinton’s illicit blowjob. But does anyone REALLY think that the current congress is going to lift a finger against Dubya? Let’s see what happens in November. If the current crop of Republinazis get the boot, we might well see a different outcome…I hope.

    Howdy,
I ran across your site thru a craigslist discussion and at first I thought you were totally in left field. But the more I read the more i was intrigued. I especially liked your hate male….some of that stuff you just cannot make up. For a long time I concidered myself a republican, that is until it became holier than thou. I still believe that our fathers established this country as a representative republic, and not a democrocy. I lean for less intrusive laws to the point of repealling many laws. It just seams that we already have more then we can fucking handle as it is. The war was nothing more then a political move by Bush to stick his dick where it doesn’t belong and of course it has to do with oil, and not WMD’s. I think big brother shouldn’t worry about catching granny with a pair of nail clippers and the Department of Homeland Security (slightly nazistic sounding, isn’t it) should be scraped like aluminum. I think the US should pull out of the UN with all of its support and vegas could set odds on how fast the UN would disappear. Foriegn aid should be cut for all except the NEEDY. I think we should be using that money for our own people….like maybe teachers, firemen, police and services that really are needed. I don’t know where i am on the policical scale anymore, guess im more of a freedom and libitarian now. Drug laws should be resinded for the crap that it is and stop having people being put away for having pot seeds. Haven’t we learned anything from proabition. If you want to stop gang wars for selling space….make the shit legal. Take away their profit center and the rest will fall. Congress should meet for a max of one month out of the year, discuss anything new, and then go back home for the rest of the year. What in the fuck do we need 24/7 legislation for? Go home and work a real fucking job rather then sucking the government tit.
The one thing i have noticed, with the two main political parties, is that they are almost identical. It doesn’t matter whose in office, it’s not about the people, but about the money. Thats why nothing ever gets changed to benefit the public, because the public doesn’t matter to them. I mean as a whole. We are falling down the financial tubes and they couldn’t care less. The price of housing for me and my family is completely out of reach because i’m disabled. And i’m a former Marine, who served my country. Isn’t that a bitch?
Well, sorry for the ranting and raving of a lunatic, I really wanted to say that I can’t agree with everything you say, but i can understand the sentiment behind it. Good for you and keep up the good work and as for the religous right wanting to fuck with you, tell them to kiss your royal fucking ass. Fuck’em if they can’t take reality. Oh yea, i’m a godless and demonic atheist because I don’t feel I need to put everything into a perspective that quells my fears and wonders. Plus, i don’t need to listen to an organization that has spouted fear and hatred and in the next breath ask me for money because the word needs to be spread. If I had a god, I would think if he’s that fucking powerful, he could print his own money. Sorry for ranting and YOUR SITE ROCKSSSS.
