Advanced Search Added to Irregular Times

For a few years, Irregular Times has had a simple text search box available, but because we have written nearly 3,000 blog entries the sheer number of results often turns out to be unreasonably large. For more focused searching, we have added an advanced search option this morning. Available by a link just underneath our regular search box, Irregular Times’ advanced search allows you to sort through posts not just by keyword, but also by words you’d like to exclude, by author, and by category — all simultaneously, if you like. You can have search results be ordered by relevance or date, in ascending or descending manner. Finally, you can search through posts and comments, making everyone accountable.

The advanced search function deserves the hearty thanks of Contutto, who wrote the feature as a freely available plugin for the WordPress software we use.
