The Entire United States of America is In the Car

Every night before a big election I like to watch the movie Dave:

Dave: Is this legal?

Alan: Dave, have you ever driven through a red light? Huh? You know, on an empty road when there’s nobody around and you know it’s safe?

Dave: I’m not sure. I might have.

Alan: Well, let’s, let’s say, let’s say your mother is in the car and you have to get her to the hospital. You’d do it then for sure, wouldn’t you?

Dave: Yes, I guess I would.

Alan: Now, let’s say the whole country is, is in the car. The entire United States of America.

Dave: In the car?

Alan: In the car.

Dave: I see what you mean.

Alan: Dave, the country is sick.

Bob: And you’re gonna get it to the hospital.

What political movie do you love to watch, over and over and over again?

Old fashioned of me, but I prefer Casablanca. I’m starting to feel that all of America is in Casablanca these days. Yes, the entire United States of America.

  2. Mike says:

“Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world…she walks into mine…” Nice choice,
J.Clifford! Actually, I’m kinda fond of Jack Nicholson in “Easy Rider”: “yew know, this useta be a hell of a country…” But I am kinda leaning toward your pick…

  3. Chivas Regalia says:

‘Wag the Dog’ was really funny!
