2008 Reasons List Reaches Two Percent of Target

Here at Irregular Times, we have made a solemn pledge. We have promised to compile a list of 2008 reasons to elect a progressive President in 2008, and to do so by the end of the year 2007. There are serious consequences if we fail in this effort. We’ve promised to write a check for $2008.00 to every Republican running for President if we don’t get the list of 2008 reasons together on time. That’s a lot of money to give to a bad cause, so our motivation to succeed is high.

We have a long way to go, however. As of today, we have assembled 41 reasons to elect a progressive President in 2008. That’s two percent of our goal, with 1,967 reasons to go. With 410 days left until the end of 2007, that means that, from now on, we will have to collect an average of just under five reasons per day.

You’ll excuse me then, but I’ve got a bit of work to do.

can the 2008 reasons site please, please have a page that shows all 2008 reasons? i like the idea of organizing them, but i’d really really like to be able to see them all at once, so having that page have them by category would be great.

    great.

    repetitiously yours,
    etc., etc.

If you want to get to 2008 reasons you will need to display the link to the page MUCH more prominently at the top of your home page. As it is right now it’s almost impossible to find and even harder to suggest a reason. Also, lose the blue on black background, I’m going blind trying to read it.

The reason for not having them all on one page is that the amount of text gets to be overwhelming for a browser. We found that with the 2004 reasons.

Perhaps breaking it up into several consecutive pages (Reasons 1-250, then Reasons 251-500, etc.) could work.

Thanks for the ideas about the format and the promotion of it. I’m going to work on this stuff, and come back with an altered approach.
