Video on Indian Nuclear Weapons and the US Senate

Iran is suspected of trying to make nuclear weapons. North Korea is trying to make nuclear weapons, and not doing a very good job of it.

Right in between these two countries, in the Axis of Evil, is another pair of countries that actually have nuclear weapons: India and Pakistan.

Now, would you believe that the United States Senate voted last week to approve a deal to send nuclear materials and technology that can be used to make more nuclear weapons to one of these countries? Oh, it’s nutty all right, so I’m working to spread the word with this little movie, trying to use my grave voice for narration.

When I played the video there was no sound….

Perhaps that’s an artistic statement by your particular computer. Anyone else have this problem?

  3. Jim says:

    Nope. I had sound.

  4. Iroquois Honky says:

I had sound AND picture. The earlier videos I had no picture. The software I found free by looking in wikipedia for open source stuff.

The “grave voice” sounds like a vampire instead of a juicy sweet young thing. Tales from the crypt. Walter Cronkite on steroids, or maybe his ghost.

What’s with nuclear proliferation treaty? I haven’t followed it. Isn’t it an artifact from cold war when everybody signed stuff to try to get the other side to stop making weapons, then just kept making their own weapons secretly? Wasn’t that the big Reagan thing about verifiability?
