Our Bill of Rights Poster Project has a simple goal: we want to increase the visibility of the words and ideas contained in the Bill of Rights, and so we have pledged to send one 18 inch by 24 inch Bill of Rights poster free to every American who asks for one.
When we say free we mean absolutely free, with no hidden charges, nothing else you have to buy first, no service fee, no shipping cost. Free. The poster we’ll send you has no advertising on it. No text but the Bill of Rights (and a union “bug”, the emblem of the American printing union that produced the poster). No picture but the Statue of Liberty. To avoid an appearance of opportunism, we don’t even put the text of our website on the poster. We won’t sell your name and address to anybody under any conditions, and we won’t send you spam. Conditions? No conditions.
Think about this as an opportunity for the various December holidays that involve the giving of gifts. Do you know someone in your family, your class, your workplace or your circle of friends who would appreciate (or, frankly, could use) the Bill of Rights hanging on their wall? Are you currently subsisting on ramen and potatoes? Well, now you can cross one gift off your list: give this poster, and don’t pay a dime for it. It even comes in its own poster tube — just take off the removable address labels, put a ribbon around it, and you’re all set. If you make a request for this Bill of Rights Poster by Sunday, December 17, we can get your poster to you before Christmas.
