Ratio of Spy Attacks Vs. Terrorist Attacks Yields Zero

Mother Davis puts away her calculator without having to type on it, before she reports,

The America Civil Liberties Union has discovered that the Pentagon (not even counting the FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security or other spy agencies) has records of spying on peaceful, law-abiding American citizens 2,821 times over the last few years. The White House has defended the program, saying that it is necessary for the government to spy on American citizens in order to protect us from terrorist attacks in United States.

How many terrorist attacks have there been in the United States in the last five years? Zero.

That’s an awfully big sacrifice of freedom without any sign of serious need. The ratio of spying incidents to recent terrorist attacks is 2,821 to 0.

That kind of record is worse than failure. It is blatant, needless abuse of power.

Putting away the sympathy card she got for George W. Bush until she finds a more deserving moment,

One Response to Ratio of Spy Attacks Vs. Terrorist Attacks Yields Zero

  1. Vynce says:

that ratio actually supports their claim that it’s working. the more interesting igure would be how many terrorist attacks were prevented by the spying; how many busts, or even investigations, that may have led to a potential attack being canned, nixed, or delayed?

i suspect that numbe ralso happens to be zero, but as with the math classes we took in highschool, you have to ge thte right answer the right way, or it doesn’t mean the same thing.
