Yesterday, Al Gore was called before the Senate to testify about global warming, and former committee chair Senator James Inhofe kept asking Gore questions but didn’t give him any time to answer, because he said if he did Gore would just go on and on. At this, new committee chair Senator Barbara Boxer broke in to ask Senator Inhofe to let Gore answer the questions. Inhofe said he wouldn’t let Gore answer and began explaining his rules for testimony, to which Boxer replied, “You’re not making the rules. You used to when you did this, you don’t do this anymore. Elections have consequences.” The chamber burst out in laughter at Inhofe’s expense.
