Unity08 Plans To Sell Your Personal Data

What Unity08 tells you:

We will protect the privacy of the voters. While we will facilitate candidate communications to the list, it will neither be sold nor given to anyone. No exceptions.

What Unity08 tells the court:

It is certainly true that if we have ten million delegates who vote to support and nominate a ticket, we would be willing to, I believe, on the advice of counsel we would be willing to sell the delegate list to that ticket so that it can solicit from that list of delegates contributions.

I would ask Unity08 to explain itself, but the organization’s corporate leadership stopped responding to my questions two months ago. Now Unity08 even deletes my questions from its website to keep others from reading them. That’s a very grassrootsy thing to do, isn’t it?

In a related aside, this morning, attempts to reach any pages on the website of Unity08 via unity08.com and unity08.org have been unsuccessful over a number of hours. It appears that the Unity08 website has crashed. This performance comes from the corporation claiming it will run the first-ever online secure national election without mistakes or fraud.

oooh, oooh, Jim, you have to click over to U08 site quick.

You know how they like to post little photos of their delegates with a little quotation from them on their home page? Well, they have three new quotations posted, but the photos aren`t up yet, and they just have the U08 logo where the photo is supposed to go. But if you roll over the U08 logo you get a little message.

Roll over the U08 logo next to the quotation by David Frey and it says “Dwfrey`s picture”.
Roll over the U08 logo next to Brandon Plewe and it says “bp`s picture”.
Roll over the picture of Frank Catalano from Lake Tapps, WA, who`s quotation reads “I can think for myself,” and the little notation reads “seattlenerd`s picture”.

    seattlenerd?

SEATTLENERD`S PICTURE!!!!! THEY ARE CALLING ONE OF THEIR DELEGATES A NERD!!!!

Of course that`s not as bad as what they called you when you were one of their members, but still they don`t seem to be able to let go of their contempt for the “roots”, do they?

Did you notice this in the documents from the Court?

Q: I think you referred to personal contacting for raising funds for Unity08? How much money has Unity raised through that type of request?
A: I think that number is close to $400,000.

It’s on page 22-23 of Bailey’s questioning. So of the $400-450,000 raised, according to Bailey, $400,000 came from his, and his close friend Peter Ackerman, close contacts.

Looking at the comments, it looks like the site had no comments between 1:23 am and 1:07 pm, so apparently the site was down for a little under 12 hours.

The only difference I can see is –remember those buttons they used to advertise on the home page that you could put in your website widgets to provide a link to U08? Well, they have been replaced by a javascript that asks for Email address and zip code, so you can sign up people for their mailing list directly from your website. they say for myspace you can still use the buttons, but clicking on the buttons gives you a “not found” message.

It looks like Doug Bailey’s personal cell phone number and email address is in the Court documents – ever consider calling him up or shooting him an email?

  5. ConcernedAboutUnity08 says:

“And you certainly need a female with all those hotshot rich ‘guy’ investors.”

Did you see that email sent from Coach Kathy Kemper to Anya Harris?

These documents are filled with all kinds of good stuff!
