A Marine sergeant has admitted that, after he killed civilians in Iraq, he pissed on one of their dead bodies in his fury.
He also watched his Marine squad leader shoot five civilians who were coming to him, with signs of submission and surrender, to avoid being killed.
So much for the supposed honor and dignity of being a Marine.
I don’t really think that all the responsibility lies with the Marines for the way that so many of them are going out of control. A good deal of responsibility also has to be put on the shoulders of the politicians in Washington who sent them to Iraq to fight an unnecessary, and keep on extending their tours of duty. The treatment of the soldiers (yes, Marines are soldiers) is practically designed to drive them insane.
I just don’t want to hear any more about military codes of honor, or about the dignity of the uniform, or how they’re fighting over there to defend our freedom here.
The truth is that the war over there has been used as an excuse to destroy my freedom here. As for the war over the there, and the American military that’s in the middle of it, well, it’s all turned into a giant load of bullshit, hasn’t it?
The war made the terrorists stronger, made Iraq more brutal and violent, and didn’t protect a single American life. We never were under serious threat from Iraq. This whole thing never needed to happen…
… but now we’ve got Americans killing civilians and pissing on their dead bodies.
Forget support our troops. Huge numbers of them are being coverted into certifiable nut cases by this war, and eventually they’re going to come back over here, and then we’ll all have to deal with the military code of insanity.
Stop it. Stop it. Just stop it. End this stupid, pointless occupation of Iraq. It’s already failed. We screwed it up. We lost. Let’s get over it, and not lead any more American teenagers down the road to the insane assylum, okay?

Bush doesn’t disgrace the Constitution…he works within it. Because if he didn’t…he would have been already up on charges. And why hasn’t he been? Because he hasn’t violated any. The war in Iraq is right. Everyone you support on the fucked-up-left wanted to take Saddam out, 2 years prior to when Bush moved on him….they had the same intel that the UN had. The Military Commissions Act is a necessary act that NEEDS to remain in place until the our enemies either surrender and leave us alone…or are wiped out. And that IS THE WAY OF THE WORLD…..

- presumption of innocence
- protection from unreasonable search and seizure
- freedom of speech
- free assembly
- right to petition the government for redress of grievances
- freedom from cruel and unusual punishment
- right to a fair trial
- right to a speedy trial
- right to confront one’s accusers in a court of law
You say, Harrold, that there are no freedoms being curtailed, and then you name one of the laws that is curtailing the freedoms.
