Yesterday, the Center for Biological Diversity described the presidency of George W. Bush as waging “a war on wildlife”. One of the reasons: As of yesterday, an entire year had passed without the Bush Administration granting protection to a single endangered species.
It isn’t because endangered species don’t exist. There are currently 279 species recognized as candidates for protection as threatened or endangered species. These species have been waiting an average of 19 years for protection, sliding closer and closer to extinction all the while.
Stop the right wing’s war on wildlife. Elect a progressive President in 2008.

“War on Wildlife”? Just means there weren’t any to list this year…
War On Wildlife is me, shooting the over population of squirrels off my back deck…those that the Ospreys, Hawks and Owls don’t get. Seriously….I’ve bagged 10 in two weeks….more to come. A dangerious, destructive pest is just that….
Stop the wanted taking of private land for the sake of saving bugs and rodents…DO NOT elect a progressive in 2008.
279 species waiting means there weren’t any to list, Harrold?
Oh, what a joy it must be to skim instead of bothering with full reading.
Waiting by who’s standards? Center for Biological Diversity? Pleeezzzse….
“…Combining conservation biology with litigation, policy advocacy, and an innovative strategic vision, the Center for Biological Diversity is working to secure a future for animals and plants hovering on the brink of extinction, for the wilderness they need to survive, and by extension for the spiritual welfare of generations to come…”

Yea…a really credible source of unbiaed information…..NOT!
Harrold, I hate to say it, but you misspelled unbiased (“unbiaed”). You are going to catch shit for that!! Be prepared!!
Yea…the “grammer” Nazis will be out in force…..
“shooting the over population of squirrels off my back deck”
Ten squirrels in two weeks? I guess we know what Harrold F had for lunch.
Hey Phil,
He misspelled grammar too.
279 species isn’t just a subjective number the Center for Biological Diversity is coming up with. It’s the number of species that the government has been petitioned to process through. They’re in line, officially, and the government is delaying their consideration.
Harrold’s claim that there weren’t any to list is just not backed up by the facts. There is a backlog 279 species that the government is legally required to consider.
Hoot and holler all you like about it. It won’t make a difference how many exclamation points you use.
I guess my use of quotes is not common practice here…are are you just stupid holga?
Actually, Irq…I leave the carcasses out overnight…and poof! by morning they are gone…guess the other wildlife had an easy meal….
