A quick update on our efforts to assemble a 2,008 reasons to elect a progressive President in 2008: We’re up to 333 on the list.
That means that we have 1,675 to go, and will need to pick up the pace from now on. With six months left, we’re just at 16.6 percent of our goal.
There will be consequences for failure: I have personally pledged to, if I fail to complete the list by New Year’s Day 2008, write a check for $2008.00 to the campaign of every Republican presidential candidate. As a progressive who opposes the Republican agenda, that’s the last thing I want to have to do.
