Biden’s Indignant, Angry, Righteous Bullshit

Senator Joseph Biden struck up his dander in the YouTube debate this past Monday, raising his voice in referencing military supplies for Iraq:

Seventy percent of all the deaths occurred have been those roadside bombs. We have money in that bill to begin to build and send immediately mine-resistant vehicles that increase by 80 percent the likelihood none of your cadets will die, General. And they all voted against it.

How in good conscience can you vote not to send those vehicles over there as long as there’s one single, solitary troop there?

Joseph Biden is good at getting irate and indignant. But as usual, as Biden’s indignance rises his accuracy declines. He doesn’t mention that there’s already a rush order put in by the Army. And how exactly would you send MRAP vehicles over to a place with one single, solitary troop? With more troops, I guess. And how would one single, solitary troop operate a mine-resistant vehicle? Well, I guess she or he would be the driver, sending people, oh, wait, just him or herself, on missions to, um, stay with and guard the vehicle.

I know, I know, Senator Biden wasn’t being serious when he said that. It was just rhetoric. Indignant, insincere, unserious rhetoric. Also see “bullshit.”

First of all the Army has NOT ordered any vehicles yet.

Secondly, there are several companies who RIGHT NOW are waiting for orders so that they can continue ramping up thier pridction lines to produce more.

Force Protection, Inc. of Lason, SC said in June they could make 10,000 vehicles but needed the orders.

    Still waitin’…

Well, unless Reuters is completely lying, this is true:

    – The US Army is placing rush orders for up to seven times more specially designed armored vehicles to help protect troops in Iraq in a move that could cost more than $20 billion.

“The Army has been approved for the purchase of up to 17,770 MRAP vehicles,” Lieutenant Colonel Carl Ey, an Army spokesman, said yesterday, using shorthand for Mine Resistant Ambush Protected replacements for the more than 20-year-old Humvee.

Biden is a pro-war, bigoted, credit-card-funded, plagiarist jerk.

Oh, right, Anonymous. I forgot to be a partisan team player. Whoopsie. I’ll have to remember to forget all that and just whistle. BOY, BIDEN SURE IS GREAT!
