List of Authoritarian Democrats Who Voted For S. 1927

The Senate has failed to publish the roll call vote for S. 1927 yet, but when it does you’ll be able to find it here. Fortunately, outsiders have compiled the roll-call for S. 1927 themselves. Here, then, are the names of the 16 Senate Democrats who voted YES to pass S. 1927, the bill to legally enable unconstitutional searches without probable cause or warrants:

Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana
Senator Thomas Carper of Delaware
Senator Robert Casey of Pennsylvania
Senator Kent Conrad of North Dakota
Senator Dianne Feinstein of California
Senator Daniel Inouye of Hawaii
Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota
Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana
Senator Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas
Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri
Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland
Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska
Senator Bill Nelson of Florida
Senator Mark Pryor of Arkansas
Senator Ken Salazar of Colorado
Senator James Webb of Virginia

If you click through to the links, you’ll find reference to these Senators’ voting records in the 110th Congress (which do not yet tabulate, but will soon, their votes on S. 1927). As those links reveal, the large majority of these YES-voting Democratic Senators are pretty unprogressive in their behavior, indicating that Friday’s behavior is no aberration.

Democratic partisans promised us that if we just voted for conservative Democrats, we’d get a progressive restoration of constitutional government. This past Friday’s capitulation shows us, yet again, that if you want progressive government, you have to vote for progressives.

Hooray for our chains!! Who wants to be President of the War on Terror?

  2. Kathryn in California says:

I just called Feinstein’s office in DC. I specifically asked:

“I’m an American. Does this law allow the government to listen to me without a warrant, if I’m speaking to relatives in other countries?

The woman on the phone said “Yes.”

  3. F.G. Fitzer says:

And Feinstein voted FOR it. She’s a creep.

  4. Sheila Rothstein says:

I cannot believe a woman of her supposed intelligence could be so stupid in not even researching what this means of her failure to uphold the constitution.

  5. Rudy says:

What does the Patriot Act have to do with patriotism?

How does stripping away the freedoms our founding fathers fought so hard to leave us have to do with “Protecting America”?

Ben Franklin once wrote so eloquently, “those who would give up essential freedoms for the sake of temporary safety, deserve neither freedom nor safety”.

This country does not deserve the freedoms we have and now deserves everything coming coming to it. We truly have the finest government that money can buy.

  6. Jean Standish says:

Thank you for compiling a list of the Senate Democrats who voted for S. 1927. Could you also compile a list of House Democrats? That would be terrific. The following is a list of the last names of these illustrative representatives compiled from the the roll call: Thought it would help.

  8. Doc says:

Rex 84 lists concentration/detention camps (under FEMA) in North America as one of many examples.

    “America’s War on Terrorism”

“Globalization of Poverty and the New World Order”

    “The Shock Doctrine”

    “America Freedom to Faschism”

    “Endgame: Blueprint for Global Enslavement”

“Terrorstorm: A History of Government Sponsered Terrorism”

“The Bilderberg Group” to exterminate 80% of the world’s population and this is only one example of their sinister deeds they are planning.

Osama bin Laden, the Teliban and Al-Qeada are on the CIA’s payroll and have been for about 20 years.

“The Golden Creasent” is the CIA’s illegal drug production headquarters in Afganistan and the CIA is also involved in the transportation, distribution (Western Europe and North America) and money laundering along with the participation of Wall Street banking interests.

GET THIS INFORMATION OUT TO ALL WHO WILL LISTEN. HERE is just one example, the new “Real ID Card” that is coming to everyone is (1) a substitute for your driver’s license and (2) a GPS microchip will be embedded in this Real ID Card.

THIS IS A WARNING TO EVERYONE WHO READS THIS SUBMISSION.

  9. J. Clifford says:

There’s a difference between genuine concern about the Protect American Act and FISA Amendments Act and baseless speculation about the Bilderberg Group and other conspiracy theories.

Doc’s kind of nonsense doesn’t have a basis in much besides rambling speculation. Acts of Congress are substantial and real. We don’t know what exactly the government is doing with its new powers. Anyone who says that they do know is missing the important point that the new powers are set up precisely so that little people like us CANNOT know. If Congress is in the dark, do you think that Doc has a secret inside connection?

Let’s stick to the dangers we know, and not flip out into fantasies of persecution, please.
