WaPo: Movement of the Irreligious on the Rise in the West

The Washington Post has a two-part series today on the rise of an atheist, agnostic and secular movement in Europe and the United States “to speak out against what they see as rising Islamic and Christian militancy.” This includes not just non-Christians and ex-Christians but groups like the Council of Ex-Muslims as well. Atheist Alliance International’s upcoming convention in Washington, DC is sold out and has a waiting list, something unheard of a decade ago. The two articles are worth a read.
