Pete Stark Starts Talking About Religion, Atheism and Politics

When Rep. Pete Stark disclosed he does not believe in a God, it was in the passive context of an active inquiry by secular humanist non-profit organizations. But some six months after his disclosure, Rep. Stark has begun talking more actively and openly about his beliefs, disbeliefs and how they fit into and around his political views.

If you live in New England, you may be interested to know that Pete Stark will be speaking at Harvard tomorrow on the topic of “Government Without God.” The talk is free and open to the public, although the organizers are recommending you go early to grab an available seat. 7:30 pm, Emerson Hall 105, on Harvard Yard in Cambridge. Check it out if you can.
