Giuliani and Fred Thompson Bomb in Michigan

This weekend’s presidential straw poll in Michigan produced two dramatic failures, as two of the supposed contenders for Republican frontrunner came out with surprisingly weak showings. Rudolph Giuliani placed fourth, behind even Ron Paul. Fifth place was the best that Fred Thompson could manage. That puts Thompson in last place among those candidates who bothered to show up.

How embarrassing for Fred Thompson. Is it too late for him to go back to Law and Order?

I have the feeling that Law and Order let Fred Thompson go, and that the Presidency is his back up job.

  3. Vynce says:

is this straw poll as crooked and meaningless as the last one, or is there reason to think these numbers mean something?

  4. Fruktata says:

Actually, yes it is crooked and meaningless. But, then again, one could argue that the presidential election is too. Therefore, its meaninglessness is meaningful.
