![]() | Duncan Hunter: There is No Way To Make Justice System More Fair |
At tonight’s Republican presidential debate, when asked if there was any reform that he would make to the criminal justice system to make it more fair, Duncan Hunter first avoided answering the question. Then when he was asked the question again, he said, “I don’t think that there’s any way that you can be more fair.”
Do you agree with Duncan Hunter? Do you think that there is nothing that can be done to make the criminal justice system in the United States more fair?

Disbanding the current ultra-conservative Supreme Court would be a nice start. It’s always about “interpretation” isn’t it? They can interpret the laws to fit their agenda and, what do you know, we’re back to illegal abortions, little if any rights (when it comes to fighting the abuses of the corporate sector) and everyone is guilty until proven innocent. Whatever happened to Habeus Corpus? Oh, it was considered “quaint” and in the way, so we scrapped it. Swell.

How about “During the prosecution of any defendant, the government must provide to that defendant, for his defense, an equal amount of money to what is spent in the prosecution of same. This law shall also apply to appeals.”
Then, prosecutors would have to really look at the merits of a case before going after someone.
Can anyone identify any potential unintended consequences or holes in that?
