Animation Testing Moving Ahead With Test Hillary Clinton Video

democratic donkey cartoon video political underdogMy concept testing with Anime Studio 5 is moving ahead, in spite of the repeated crashes of the software on my MacBook Pro. What I’ve done here is to work with the idea of shorter sequences in which two characters speak to each other. These shorter sequences are less likely to cause the software to crash, though the I’ve found that the crashes still can take place, even if I am working with something as short as a five-second segment.

I like the idea of a conversation anyway, as it’s more dynamic than an animated character giving a lecture.

The next step is to work on ways to avoid the glitch altogether, and extend sequences to whatever length I desire.

The transcript of this debate, between an orthodox Democratic Party donkey and a grassroots Democratic underdog, is as follows:

Dog: Hi. You might call me a political underdog. I’m a Democrat, but I’m not feeling very good about how the Democrats in Congress have been behaving.

Donkey: Why not? What’s the trouble? Would you rather have the Republicans?

Dog: No, but that’s not the point. When we elected a Democratic majority to Congress in 2006, we expected the Democrats to stand up to George W. Bush – not keep caving in and backing down.

Donkey: What, do you expect them to do miracles? George W. Bush is still the President, after all!

Dog: That’s my point. Why is he still President? Bush has been caught red handed committing high crimes. Shouldn’t he be impeached?

Donkey: If we Democrats did that, we would never be re-elected, and then where would you be?

Dog: But we elected the Democrats in Congress to stop Bush, not just to keep getting re-elected. Aren’t some issues worth losing re-election over?

Donkey: Like what? What are you getting at?

Dog: Well, I’ve been thinking about Hillary Clinton. She voted to help George W. Bush start the war in Iraq and she’s never even apologized for that. Why are we Democrats getting ready to elect her President in 2008? Why not elect a real anti-war candidate? That’s what Democrats want.

Donkey: An anti-war candidate would never get elected. Hillary Clinton can get elected.

Dog: But Hillary Clinton made the wrong decision. She’s supported George W. Bush, and even said she might torture prisoners, just like he did.

Donkey: What do you want? Do you want Mitt Romney to get elected? Don’t you want a Democrat in the White House?

Dog: No. What I want is a good President in the White House. If the Democrat acts just like a Republican, I don’t see much difference. Hillary Clinton was on the board of directors of Wal-Mart, for goodness sakes! Her campaign manager is the CEO of a company that worked for Blackwater to help Blackwater evade questioning by Democratic members of Congress! I don’t want someone like that in the White House.

Donkey: Even if she’s a Democrat?

Dog: If we elect a Democrat like that to the White House, does it still mean anything to be a Democrat?

Donkey: Well, my nose is smaller than the Republican elephant. -Pause- I see what you mean. Hm.
