Biden and Kucinich benefit from Debate, Obama loses share

When comparing the 24 hours before this week’s Democratic presidential debate to the 24 hours after the debate, there are two clear winners in the sale of election-related gear to committed supporters. The share of sales accounted for by items showing support for Dennis Kucinich rose from 4% before the debate to 17% after the debate. The share of sales accounted for by items supporting Joseph Biden rose from 4% before the debate to 13% after the debate. That share had to come from somewhere. The share of sales accounted for by items supporting Barack Obama dropped like a rock from 31% before the debate to 11% after the debate. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton keeps tooting right on along. The share of sales accounted for by items supporting Hillary Clinton rose from an already high 33% to a slightly higher 36%. Nice job, Dennis and Joe, but you’ve got a way to go.
