The National Climatic Data Center has announced that 2007 is the warmest year for the Northern Hemisphere of any year on record, even beating the record heat of 2005.
Yet, we still have people in denial, like John Coleman, the founder of The Weather Channel, who say that global warming is just a hoax.
Are we supposed to believe that all the temperature readings that have been taken all around the world for 127 years now are just fake, part of some generations-long secret conspiracy to trick the people of the Earth into believing that global warming is taking place?
If you’re willing to accept that kind of Flat Earth, tinfoil hat kind of idea, go ahead and vote for a right wing presidential candidate who will bring us four more years of inaction. You and John Coleman can go around wearing jackets and sweaters in the 85 degree October heat next year, as you prepare to vote, and tell everyone that sweating is just a hoax too.
The rest of us will dress appropriately, and vote appropriately.
