White House to Veto Bill Outlawing Waterboarding

Hello, “values voters.” Are your moral values really so important to you? Here’s a thirty-foot tall reason to stop voting Republican: the White House announced yesterday that it would veto a bill that specifically outlawed waterboarding, the use of simulated drowning as an interrogation technique. Republican Senator Christopher Bond declared his alliance with the White House in favor of torture, asserting that the outlawing of waterboarding would “kill an important tool in our efforts to fight terror.” Bond left out the “with” between his last two words.
