I don’t trust the Bush Administration with our civil rights and liberties. So I’m going to study it very hard. As matters stand now, I could not support it and I would support a filibuster absent additional information coming forward that would convince me differently.
– Hillary Clinton, October 23 2007
Later today, Senator Christopher Dodd will begin filibustering the FISA Amendments Act. Later today, Hillary Clinton is scheduled to be speaking in Davenport, Iowa to be promoting her personal campaign to be elected president. Well, Senator Clinton, what about the Constitution? What about your promise to filibuster? What about your promise in your solemn oath of office to support and defend the Constitution of the United States?
Will you be there, Senator Clinton? Will you support the filibuster? Or is your personal advancement more important than the Constitution?
