The writings of white supremacist shooter James Von Brunn on Free Republic, and right-wing readers' positive reaction to his writings, is mirrored here for historical reference. Free Republic has taken the post down, trying to shove it down the memory hole.

Read the Google Cache of the "Arizona Sentinel" blog cut-and-paste hack job that right-wingers are claiming "proves" that Barack Obama applied to Occidental College as a foreigner. As you'll see with a quick read and the most minimal effort to find the faked sources referred to within, it's a hoax. Also a hoax, therefore, is the claim by right-wingers that the "Arizona Sentinel" is a newspaper website taken down by The Man because conspiracy theorists were TOO CLOSE to the truth! See here for a debunking of the fake "article."

Had it up to here with the silence of the Speaker of the House during years and years of U.S. Government torture? Then shout it to the highest clouds: Nancy Pelosi, Resign!

Mike Huckabee Base Shows its Zesty Religiosity and Exclusivist Pizzazz

Today, I put up a video on YouTube about the Mike Huckabee political advertisement, paid for through his presidential campaign committee, telling the nation that “at this time of year, sometimes it’s nice to pull aside from that and remember that what really matters is the celebration of the birth of Christ”. That’s a pastor’s job, not a president’s job, especially because for a large and growing number of Americans, “this time of year” “the celebration of the birth of Christ” is NOT “what really matters.”

Then, oh boy, did the Mike Huckabee supporters let me have it:

As an American I don’t give a SHIT about muslems
they didn’t Make America Christians DID

SO **** the liberal Godless people

Christians formed America and made it great, not Muslims, Jews, or Sikhs. And now everyone expects us to just yield to them and accept their traditions, while abandoning ours.

Thank GOD for a politician who tells what’s important to him not based on what people “want to hear.”

He’s not saying what he thinks everyone wants to hear - unlike the DEMS who say what they think everyone wants to hear based on polls.

We’re not pretending, we know. It is the only valid religion. The right religion.

It’s nice to know that Ron Paul supporters will have some competition now as we come down the stretch in the online loyalty competition. It’s certainly more entertaining than the collective “eh” we’ve been hearing from the Republican rank and file lately.

You mentioned many stats in your rebuttle of Huckabee’s add. The fact is that Christmas is actually a Christian Holiday. It is the most celebrated Holiday in America. Whether you believe in Christ or not…it is a Christian Holiday. The government also recognizes it as a federal Holiday. Should he have said happy Ramadan on Christmas? That’s silly. In a recent major survey about 70% of the American population prefers the greeting “Merry Christmas”. If you get Christmas off are you going to accuse your boss of being a religious zealot also? Let’s get real as matter of fact Christmas “is” about Christ.

But Huckabee didn’t say Christmas is about Christ. Of course Christmas is about Christ.

Huckabee said that “this time of year” “what really matters is the celebration of the birth of Christ.” For large groups of Americans this is not true. Mike Huckabee’s TV spot is an advertisement for him to be president. His political ad is one that tells America which religion “really matters.” That’s out of line. Or at least I think so. If you don’t, you’re a theocrat, and you scare me.
