Photograph Shows Ron Paul Smiling With White Supremacist

Ron Paul supporters are working overtime trying to refute the growing pile of information linking Ron Paul with racists, white supremacists and even neo-Nazis. Yet, while they can contest particular pieces of information, they have been unable to contest the general picture that’s emerging: That Ron Paul’s presidential campaign is being fueled by support from extreme right wing racist individuals and organizations.

Ron Paul supporters have been furious at the claim made by one of their own, American Nazi Bill White, that he has personally witnessed many meetings between white supremacists and Ron Paul and members of Ron Paul’s presidential campaign. They claim that Bill White has lied.

ron paul don black white supremacist 2008Well, here’s a photograph that shows Ron Paul standing right next to the leader of a white supremacist organization: Stormfront. The man next to Ron Paul is Don Black, who runs Stormfront as what he calls a “White Nationalist / White Pride Resource”.

Don Black is one of the white supremacist leaders who sent in a campaign donation to the Ron Paul for President campaign. Even when Ron Paul was confronted about who Don Black was, Ron Paul refused to return the money.

This photograph shows that the campaign donation from Don Black to Ron Paul was not just a single point of contact. Ron Paul didn’t just take Don Black’s money, but stood with the white supremacist and smiled.

Ron Paul supporters can no longer claim that their candidate has not met with white supremacists. Here Ron Paul is, meeting with a white supremacist. We don’t know what they said to each other, but Ron Paul and this white supremacist did meet. Their meeting makes the refusal of Ron Paul to return Don Black’s check all the more suspicious.

Thanks again to Lone Star Times for bringing this story to our attention. They’ve been at the forefront of this story from the start, and will be, I assume, as it continues to develop. Visit them to keep abreast of the latest.

Post script: The Ron Paul has still not issued any denial of Bill White’s allegations.

  1. Victor says:

This is the comment I left on the Lippard Blog…

Back around May, before all this “white supremacist” BS was popping up, Ron Paul was asked who he would like as Vice President. Ron Paul responded to the effect, “Walter Williams because he is a good economist.”

Guess what? Walter Williams is a black guy.

Ron Paul believes in individual liberty. Ron Paul believes that racism is an ugly form of collectivism. Collectivism such as the brand that Jesse Jackson and the KKK equally represents.

So what if Ron Paul took a picture with a white supremacist? In Ron Paul rally’s hundreds, if not thousands of people, line up to get a picture with him. Do you think he asks people their life story?

You show me one picture of Ron Paul with a white supremacist and I will show you 10 more pictures of Ron Paul with a minority. Enough of the BS arguments, it only makes this blog look foolish. Have some dignity and try to search for the truth instead of grasping at straws with cheap rumors.

  2. J. Clifford says:

Thank you so much, Victor, for being a cut-and-paster.

I’ll say here, as I said where else you cut and paste part of this message: Ron Paul does know the “life story” of Don Black. Ron Paul knows that Don Black is a white supremacist. He has admitted that to the public.

Ron Paul took 500 dollars from Don Black, and admits that he knows that Don Black is the leader of a white supremacist organization. Nonetheless, Ron Paul refuses to return the money.

First, Ron Paul supporters, when confronted with the accusation by a neo-Nazi leader that Ron Paul has been meeting with white supremacists, they say it isn’t true. Then, when there’s a photograph proving that it’s true, they say it doesn’t matter, because Ron Paul might not have known who Don Black was. However, Ron Paul does know who Don Black is.

So what excuse will Ron Paul supporters come up with next?

  3. Ummm says:

“First, Ron Paul supporters, when confronted with the accusation by a neo-Nazi leader that Ron Paul has been meeting with white supremacists, they say it isn’t true.”

Yes, that was completely debunked, on this very website btw.

RE the photograph, when was it taken? I know who Don Black is. I didn’t last month, but thanks to all the NEWS about it, I do now. Can you PROVE that Ron Paul knew who Don Black was BEFORE this story broke? And I don’t mean with a single photo, of which I am sure MANY were taken at the same event.

Until then, your claims are merely speculation, the first of which was completely shot down: the restaurant.

I am very interested in seeing any other proof, though. I know a lot of people who would reconsider their stance on Ron Paul if I could point them to it.

  4. Nick says:

I support Nazi views and I love your website & post on it hence you and your site are NAZI supporters. Im sure your not a NAZI but thats the logic your using by pushing this lame attacks on Ron Paul.
This is so pathetic and low but it is the politics we have in this country. Whoever is running this blog needs to eat some more omega-3 and somehow enhance his IQ. Ron Paul is not racist and who gives two hoots less about a lame supporter that is only getting more attention from these posts. Heres the logic in this slanter posting. Discourage voters from supporting him by making up and grasping at vicious lies and push your candidate onto them. Heres an example of your logic on this issue. By the way I offended at the racism that is being spewed on this website. If your not a racist then you might want to check in the mirror if you continue posting this slander. Racism is an ugly form of collectivism quoted by Ron Paul. His idols are martin Luther king and Gandi.

  5. John says:

    J. Clifford: have you no concept of TIME???

that picture was taken at the Values Voter debate, which was a LONG TIME BEFORE the Don Black controversy started appearing in the news. Maybe RP knows who Black is now, but he sure as fuck didn’t back then. Furthermore, SWARMS of people get their pictures taken with Ron Paul after every speech he makes. It pains me that anyone would think that this picture or any picture of Ron Paul standing with a supporter after a speech or a debate is incriminating. You’d have to have a really fucking low IQ to buy into this guilt-by-association bullshit. It’s childish. What are you, retarded???

  6. J. Clifford says:

John, have you no concept of time? Ron Paul knows who white supremacist Don Black is now, but still won’t return the check from him.

Ron Paul supporters also have been claiming that Ron Paul doesn’t meet with white supremacists, and here a photograph is that proves otherwise.

Where is a photograph of any other presidential candidate standing with the leader of a white supremacist organization?

  7. Ummm says:

“Ron Paul supporters also have been claiming that Ron Paul doesn’t meet with white supremacists, and here a photograph is that proves otherwise”

Actually, all this photo proves is that Ron Paul had his photo taken, not that he MEETS (note the plural) white supremacists.

Stating that a photo, taken at an event where dozens of random people got their photo taken with him, PROVES that he meets with them and supports THEIR goals is erroneous and illogical.

You are grasping at straws on this one. Let it go and try to find something else that can be verified.

  8. J. Clifford says:

    Grasping at straws?

I repeat, where is a photograph of any other presidential candidate standing, smiling with the leader of a white supremacist organization?

  9. Ummm says:

Well, you posted pics yourself of both McCain and Huckabee with one. And the thing is, they actually WERE endorsing him.

So, now that I’ve answered your question, how about you address what I brought up?

  10. Iroquois says:

What on earth is Ummm talking about? No one on this site has posted any pictures of any other presidential candidates with white supremacists.

The picture doesn’t look like it was taken at a speech or debate. It looks more like a restaurant. A similar picture is on the net with more people besides Don Black in it, but this one looks like it has been cropped.

Giving 500 dollars to a candidate is not going to have any influence, but if someone could give $100,00 or $200,000, they would start to get the candidate’s serious attention. Say, how did RP raise all that money on the internet again?

The RP supporters were not saying RP might have met with someone or might have had a picture taken, they were categorically denying all contacts. Now they have backed off of that and the new chant is that “meets” is plural? Well, I’ve got news for you. “Meets” is third person singular.

Instead of just telling the truth, the RP supporters keep making up stuff. They will continue to make up stuff in a blind attempt to find something about RP that is believable. They don’t bother to look for something that is true. What could they be trying to hide?

  11. J. Clifford says:

Is John Hagee a white supremacist? I’d LOVE to see the documentation on that.

  12. Ummm says:

Actually, ‘MEETS with’ implies more than one meeting. ‘MET with’ would indicate a singular event.

Saying Ron Paul ‘Met with a white supremacist at a debate for a photo’ would be a true statement.

Saying Ron Paul’Meets with white supremacists, and this one photo is PROOF’ is not a true statement.

A singular meeting indicated in this photo cannot logically PROVE multiple meetings.

And I am still waiting on any proof that this indicates some deep-rooted conspiracy between Ron Paul and Don Black. Oh, and it was taken at the Values Voter Debate in Florida, that is hardly a restaurant. How many people are reported to be in the audience? 2000, wasn’t it? So, one photo out of potentially thousands is enough to prove a conspiracy?

It’s like me saying that Chris Dodd is racist because he praised Strom Thurmond on his 100th birthday!!!

Conspiracy theories are usually supported with much more evidence than this. So yes: grasping at straws.

“Say, how did RP raise all that money on the internet again?”

Individual voters. Are you going to claim that all 100,000+ of them were from different white supremacists next? That’s a lot of angry white guys if so.

Oh, I guess Hagee is just a RELIGIOUS supremacist. Much better.

  13. J. Clifford says:

So, I ask again, where is a photograph of any other presidential candidate standing, smiling with the leader of a white supremacist organization, in the way that Ron Paul has?

  14. Ummm says:

Regarding your question, is your case that he is a supremacist based on a single photo, and supported by there being no photos of other candidates? That’s a pretty weak case.

Why don’t you reread my last post and address the points I brought up there, or should I just take your silence regarding them as an indication of agreement?

  15. Iroquois says:

Aren’t you starting to catch on, Umm, that the other candidates don’t have this photograph problem because they don’t accept campaign contributions from someone like this, nor do they invite people like this to their functions.

If another candidate had somehow had this happen to them inadvertantly, they would by now have done all kinds of backpeddling and denials, and returned the money. He certainly doesn’t need the money–that’s a symbolic amount. Where is RP’s repudiation? That he hasn’t made one speaks volumes.

  16. Ummm says:

Actually, he did repudiate the “white supremacist ideology” on national TV. I guess you missed that.

And as for the function, I suggest that you look into the Values Voter Debate a bit more: it was a debate set up by an independent group, and MULTIPLE CANDIDATES ATTENDED!

    Here’s a quote:
“So far, seven Republicans have rightly chosen to attend the event where they will hear from the base of their party. I have talked to the Values Voters Presidential Debate committee and am told that we should know in the next few days just who it is that cares about us, and who would rather be somewhere else on that date. One thing is certain: We will be watching closely, and an empty podium with a name on it speaks volumes.”

Did you catch the part about “hear from the base of our party”? Guess that means that if a white supremacist is part of the “base” of the Republican Party then every single Republican official and anyone who has ever voted Republican, supports Don Black’s ideology by not demanding that he be banned from attending any such events.

BTW, here’s the link before you ask:
    http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=56927

  17. Ummm says:

Ohh, here’s another interesting article which further debunks this conspiracy theory:
    http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0046,ladd2,19934,6.html

    Here’s the relevant section:
The Pat Buchanan supporter—who voted for George W. Bush to keep Al Gore out—said Wednesday that he participated in the Jackson protest Monday, which he insists was more anti-Gore than pro-Bush. “I was right in the middle of things,” Black said with a laugh. “Not a single reporter recognized me. My ego was deflated in a way.”

  18. J. Clifford says:

So, I ask again, where is a photograph of any other presidential candidate standing, smiling with the leader of a white supremacist organization, in the way that Ron Paul has?

Which part of opposing the Civil Rights Act makes Ron Paul not a white supremacist?

  19. Ummm says:

And again I ask: how does ONE photograph, taken at an event where any one of 2000 people are able to walk up to anyone else and have their picture taken, translate into some grand conspiracy?

I think you are the one who needs to check his tin-foil hat.

By clinging to this wild claim and not providing any further proof when I have repeatedly countered you with logical arguements is simply making you look like a stubborn fool.

In other words: Put up or shut up!

  20. J. Clifford says:

“Ummm” cannot find one single photograph of any other presidential candidate standing with a big smile on his face, posing for the camera with the leader of a white supremacist leader. Yet, here we have a photograph of Ron Paul doing that.

That’s not a quantitative difference. It’s a qualitative difference, and it fits along with a large number of other pieces of evidence that indicate that the Ron Paul campaign is strongly supported by Neo Nazis and white supremacists, like the one that is shown in this photograph.

A wild claim? Ron Paul took a 500 dollar check from this white supremacist, and has refused to return the check when he was confronted with the fact that it came from a white supremacist. Ron Paul knows where his campaign donations are coming from.

Ummm, I won’t tell you to shut up. You keep on coming here and engaging in these acts of Ron Paul fantasy adoration. I think you make the case for the absurdity of the Ron Paul campaign as well as anyone, without meaning to.

It’s telling that you don’t show the same respect to others, and tell them to shut up when they confront you with facts that make you uncomfortable.

  21. Iroquois says:

Ron Paul spoke today at the Liberty Forum in Nashua N.H.

Also speaking at the Liberty Forum today was John Birch Society president John McManus.

  22. F.G. Fitzer says:

Oh, yeah. Ron Paul is a John Bircher all the way. He knows where his bread gets buttered.

  23. Anonymous says:

So there being no photo of other candidates somehow validates your conspiracy theory?

It would be like me claiming that if some kid has his picture taken with someone in a Mickey Mouse suit at Disneyland, then the person in the suit MUST know who the kid is. I mean, the kid’s parents DID pay to get in right?

It’s the same kind of fuzzy logic you are using.

Oh, and when are you going to address the numerous points I brought up that debunk your claim? Do I need to repeat them? Or are you just ignoring them because you can’t think of any way to refute them?

I have addressed you multiple times, pointing out the flaws in your logic, and every time you ignore the arguements I bring up.

Seriously, those 9/11 Truth nutjobs give more evidence than you do.

  24. Iroquois says:

Don Black is not wearing a Mickey Mouse suit, Anonymous, you can see his face and you can tell exactly who he is. It’s not Disneyland either, it’s a small intimate restaurant.

Do you really think a politician like Ron Paul would not know the exact identity of people he is getting his picture taken with? That he would not know who was in the room eating with him and being introduced to him? I mean, the guy’s a presidential candidate–he’s got aides to whisper that stuff in his ear when he forgets–the politicians always want to greet their contributors by name.

    • Vicky says:

I got my picture taken with Ron Paul after he gave a speech. I can assure you he had no idea who I am. I can assure you he had no idea who ANY of the people were who stood next to him and got their picture taken. You seem to be living on some other planet. Thousands and thousands of people go to see him speak, and many of them get their pictures taken with him afterward. He had no clue who Don Black was when that picture was taken. Don Black and his son simply went to hear him speak like thousands of others have, and then got their picture taken with him like thousands of others have.

As for Ron Paul not returning the donation Don Black made, big deal. I do not for a moment believe Ron Paul is a racist, but he does believe that people ought to be entitled to their own viewpoint as long as they break no law. Returning that money would have made him a hypocrite. Don Black is entitled to his viewpoint, as unpopular as it may be. That’s what makes this America, after all, isn’t it?

Here’s a little video highlighting how RACIST Ron Paul is:

  25. ummm says:

Wow, you completely missed that analogy. does Mickey Mouse(ie Ron Paul) know the identity of every child who gets his picture taken with him?

Obviously you haven’t watched too many tv clips of candidates who go meet people. If you do, you’ll notice that unless it’s a high-scale event, they DON’T HAVE PEOPLE WHISPERING IN THEIR EARS! Especially not for open debates like this one was.

I refer you to post #17, where the recognizability of Black’s face was already addressed regarding another incident. Here’s the important part if you are too lazy to read the rest of my posts:

“I was right in the middle of things,” Black said with a laugh. “Not a single reporter recognized me. My ego was deflated in a way.”

  26. e4nsd says:

This is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen. Let’s be simple: what evidence do you have that Ron Paul KNEW the man standing next to him was a white supremacist? Whether or not he knew the name “Don Black” is irrelevant if he didn’t both know that Don Black was both a white supremacist and actually recognized him prior to the picture being taken. Barring that, your argument is bunk. Any stupid hate group member can show up at a rally and get his picture taken with someone if they stand at the right spot.

Say J Clifford is sitting on a park bench. Guy A walks up and asks him about the weather. They talk about sunshine, clouds, and rain. They shake hands. The moment they shake hands, Guy A’s friend Guy B takes a picture and they both walk away. Lo and behold, they’re white supremacists. Now J Clifford is as much of a white supremacist that he’s insinuating Ron Paul is.

Oh, and the reason he takes the money is because he rations that the money is better spent promoting freedom than going back into the hands of a white supremacist. If you disagree with that, that’s your business, but it’s a non-sequitur that taking the money means he supports their ideals.

Stupid hate groups are attracted to Paul based upon his anti-federalist message and outside of the box thinking. Were Paul’s ideals to be implemented, they would be disappointed to find out that his fundamental, core values of individual rights includes people of all colors, ethnicities, faiths, and so on, they would be gravely disappointed.

  27. Doug says:

Ron Paul’s death would be the be the greatest victory for the United States since the Revolutionary War.

  28. Darvin says:

Thikning like that is really impressive
