It Is Time For America To Stop Wallowing In Self Pity

Mother Davis listens to Mitt Romney blather on about the terrorist threat and proposes,
Ever since the attacks of September 11, 2001, the Republican Party has been pushing Americans to wallow in the memory of that day’s suffering. Helen Keller had better advice: “Self-pity is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything good in the world.” It is time for America to stop moaning and feeling sorry for itself, and get back to the work of doing good in the world.
Straightening her spine,
Mother Davis

Here, here! The whole war has been exposed as a fraud, based on lies and “cooked” intel, and we STILL continue the mistake with the newly elected Democratic congress. i don’t see much to hope for in the coming presidential “election”. Apparently a change in our so-called “leadership” (which has been anything but) doesn’t necessarily mean a change in course. Bush has done so much damage to the country in his 7 stolen years in office that i’m not sure we can ever regain what we had in terms of social environment and economy, a vibrant middle class, and reputation in the world (just for starters).
