Ah. A new year, bringing the new love mail. This comes from Richard Colwell:
Where are all the victims? Where are the photographs (from Al Jazeera, perhaps?) of the thousands and thousands tortured and put to genocide by your buddy Saddam? Where is your catalog of photos from the genocide in Sudan (probably not here because it’s muslims running that extermination campaign too)? How about the victims who HAD THEIR HEADS CUT OFF? Why no photographs of those killed in the Spain train bombing (muslims yet AGAIN, would be my guess)? I also find it interesting that you omit to give credit where credit is due - how many of these civilians have been hurt as a result of muslim made terrorist bombs? My guess is most of them.
You couldn’t care less about these people; you aren’t asking for some form of help for them, you are USING them as an emotional marketing piece for you to gain sympathy for your cause, which is either touchy feely pacifism or pro-muslim terrorism.
Have a nice day, al jazeera terrorist.
All of the images on the page Richard Colwell refers to are from the first two weeks of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, when there was no “muslim made terrorist bomb” insurgency in Iraq.
As for images of people killed by Saddam Hussein and people killed by Islamic terrorists: they’ve been provided in plenty (albeit pixilated in the case of decaptiations) to the American people by the likes of CNN and FOX News. But major American media outlets didn’t show these pictures. That’s one reason I showed them. The other reason I showed them is that our government inflicted them thanks to George W. Bush and Republican politicians and Democratic politicians who really should have known better (yes, Senator Clinton, I mean you too) and a population of civilian sheep who were in a rip-roaring mood to run around waving flags and sporting t-shirts with choice phrases like “FUQ IRAK”, just in a jolly jolly mood about starting a war of choice. All the people, from George W. Bush on down, who pumped their fists and said “I feel good!” on the eve of war should be willing to look at these pictures and think about them.
And that “al jazeera terrorist” remark? It’s so spring 2003. Richard, Richard, Richard. Tune in to FOX to get the new, hip put downs. You could give me a middle name of “Hussein,” for instance. It’s those little efforts that show you really care.

“Where did I say that everyone who disagrees with me is a terrorist? I just inferred that maybe you are a terrorist. The types of images you exploit and the message you attach to them is for all purposes identical to the modus operandi of murdering hate groups such as the PLO, which has shown no scruples in making up completely false film and photo footage showing “victims” of their enemies. That’s all.”
So Jim responds “I disagree with you, so I’m part of the PLO. Oh, that’s rich. What a hollow life for you.”
So I decided to up the ante with the following:

Well, I don’t care! At least not for the hypocritical baloney spewing from your website. Allah forbid somebody be conservative or Republican (hell, even NOT “progressive”), because that alone is apparently justification enough for you to malign them and their beliefs without seeming to have really studied their reasoning. Where is your willingness to keep an open mind, be multicultural, accept people as they are and refrain from ethnocentrism without denigrating them? Aren’t these the “progressive” ideals that you adhere to? Or am I sensing that it’s all ok to engage in these activities so long as it’s groups YOU have decided it’s acceptable to hate. It seems you have fallen into the very act that “progressives” claim to be fighting against. And watch FOX for new, hip put downs? Since when were they “hip”? And what makes you labor under the pretense that I care to be “hip”? Or that I care to avoid a “hollow life”? Perhaps being as unhip as I am is precisely where I like to be. I know I want to avoid your apparent pseudo-intellectual hipness. And your ideals of a “full” life would keep me from living MINE. But of course, what would you care? It seems you’re not happy unless everyone is thinking and behaving and hating just like you. This is typical of “progressives”. I suspect that if you had the power, you would use naked force to enact your policies; individuals be damned as to whether they like it or not. Anyone who dared to stop bleating to your tune of “progressive” (read socialist, communist, fascist) “hipness” would be a pariah and would be sent to the gulag, or shot, depending upon your level of fascination and dedication to other historical “progressives” such as Marx, Mao, Stalin, Amin, Castro, Hitler ( NAZI is indeed an acronym for National Socialist Party) ad infinitum. “Progressives” always claim to be about individuals and freedom and justice, but as history shows, that is never the case.
And that ” ‘Al Jazeera terrorist’ remark” is actually more appropriate to 2005, when I wrote my original email to you. It just seems to have never been sent, when I found it sitting around in my old outbox as I was clearing things out. I didn’t even remember what the hell it was in reference to. I just figured that if anything made me so livid as to write something like that to someone, I really ought to send it. And I am sure glad I did, as it’s given me an opportunity to refresh my memory as to what in the hell it was over, and be reminded that all this “progressive” (socialist, communist, fascist) bullshit oozing from your website belongs with the rest of the genocidal maniacs, on the trash heap of history.
