![]() | Ron Paul Humiliates John McCain In Nevada |
Dear, oh, dear, but John McCain does not look good coming out of the Nevada caucuses. The fight against Mitt Romney would always be difficult there, but John McCain, having a long history in the region from his political activity in neighboring Arizona should have at least been able to score a close second. Alas, McCain couldn’t even get 15 percent in the state.
To make things worse, John McCain was not beaten by Bible-autographing Mike Huckabee, but by long-shot libertarian Republican Ron Paul. With almost 100 percent of the vote in, it looks like Ron Paul is a full percentage point ahead of John McCain.
I’ve made fun of Ron Paul’s pathetic showings in Iowa, Wyoming, New Hampshire and Michigan, running at 7 percent or below, but I have to admit that his second place finish in Nevada is an achievement worthy of remark. At almost 14 percent, it almost doubles his previous performances.
So, Ron Paul may be a race-baiting, white-supremacist-associating, anti-environmentalist, John Birch Society conspiratorial wacko who would hand over power to the big corporations and create an irresistable American Aristocracy, but he did run a good campaign in Nevada… good enough that, if he keeps up this momentum, he might actually win the White House by the time that he’s 125 years old.
It is a time of fear in the face of freedom, a time for the widening of previous roads and the opening of new paths, a time of an emptying country and swelling cities, yet a time when these paths are mined by knowing algorithms of the all-seeing eye. It is the time of the warrior's peace and the miser's charity, when the planting of a seed is an act of conscientious objection.

HELP! HELP! I HAVE BEEN SLIMED, again, THIS TIME BY RON PAUL’S FORUM!!!!!!!!
I have been banned for life, without reason, without parole it seems from one of Ron Paul’s biggest forum: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=92551.
My life as a Ron Paul forum posted stated on Friday and lasted until Saturday morning, and consiste largely of only one thread. I have to say, although I never used any offensive language, the vitriol thrown at me was the meanest I have ever encountered.
Of course, you can read the whole thread from the web-URL I posted above, so the record speaks for itself (another interesting story); I think it all went down hill when upon being asked to give them my definition of a “true” Republican, I said: “A Republican is a Libertarian who has been mugged by reality” — using Ivan Kristal’s definition of a neocon (A liberal who has been mugged by reality).
Well, it’s all there. And I still think I have a lot of experience to offer Ron Paul’s campaign, and I will still vote for him, of course, but I will do so in spite of his supporters.

No, wait… that’s John 3:16… no, wait the 3rd Amendment to Article Sixteen and one half of the Articles of Confederacy… no, wait, the corner of 5th Street and Constitution, next to the hot dog stand.
Good absence of God, man, what are your talking about? You lived as a Ron Paul forum, and have now been resurrected? Lord, hear our prayer. The Ron Paul campaign is not Unity08. Unity08 pretended to be a populist movement for everybody that let everybody have a say. The Ron Paul campaign is about… Ron Paul, not you. OK, it’s about the North American Union conspiracy too. But Ron Paul 2008 is not about letting you have a say on his forums.
OK, so I’m in a jokey mood. (See Kiss the Devil, Huckabee.) But seriously, I don’t understand. What’s the principle involved here?
Comment by Jim — 1/19/2008 @ 11:59 pm
An amusing thread, but as Jim points out, what’s the principle?
They started out with lots of “friggin” and “fvck”–great family values, that. Then they progressed to
“Fucking sellouts man! You sir, are a disloyal disgrace to the constitution of the United States of America: you’d vote for McCain or any other internationalist CFR dickhead?! WTF?! And lookey here! ….you’re quoting that piece of fucking shit LINCOLN! Fuck the GOP and fuck Lincoln!”
Oh dear, what will we tell the children about Ron Paul?
As far as I can tell, the basic “principle” being discussed on the forum seems to be to drop names of past conservative and libertarian writers without actually discussing their ideas. Oh, and the stuff about the Council on Foreign Relations and the conspiracy to blow up the twin towers. All this time I thought it was Bush that did it with the help of his dad’s old CIA buddies.
The REAL principle was the point where people started posting the amounts of their contributions to the RP campaign and the confirmation numbers.
What’s that old saying…”who pays the piper”… I’ll think of it in a minute.

Oh and Jim, the part about the tower of Babel (rhyming with Devil?) was a nice touch.

Yes, I understand your point about this RP forum being about RP, which is why I am still going to vote for the guy. But his frigging supporters are nothing but frigging communist bolsheviks.

Nothing but frigging communist bolsheviks? Dear me. If all they are is frigging, then we can expect a whole lot of baby communist bolsheviks in the near future. Thanks for alerting us to this threat.
Wait. Rereading your message, I see that only the frigging supporters are frigging communist bolsheviks. That number is undisclosed and could be quite small. His non-frigging supporters may have other qualities. Whew. We can all breathe a bit easier.

David, why would you vote for someone who hangs out with white supremacists, as Ron Paul does?
Comment by Horatio — 1/20/2008 @ 10:46 am
Ha!Ha! Good question. I always get myself worked up for the long-shot candidate.
But I do think it’s time for Republicans to adopt a lot of Dr. Paul’s thinking back into the party platform.
However, I do think getting to the bottom of just why I was banned from their forum would be interesting. I mean, what was it about my comments that so frightened them they banned me without reason and forever? I wish I knew the answer to that. And I was kind of hoping that Jim, with his finely-tuned political outlook could provide me with his take on that point.
I was thinking it may have been because I had my link to my web-blog, but I really couldn’t find any rule in their guidelines stating that that was a capital offense.
Comment by davidfarrar — 1/20/2008 @ 12:48 pm
Yes, Jim. I, unlike Dr. Paul’s communist, bolshevik supporters, see Dr. Paul as a Librarian who has been mugged by reality. I realize, of course, I may be in the extreme minority in this viewpoint…and there in lies the reason why he will never pull more that 10%, except in Nevada, of course, with other Reagan-Republicans.
Comment by davidfarrar — 1/20/2008 @ 12:56 pm
I have no idea why you were banned. Maybe it was because you bugged them. I don’t know, I’m not a psychic. Ask them. Maybe if you promise to listen to them talk about the Amero first they’ll tell you.
Comment by Jim — 1/20/2008 @ 1:00 pm
“I always get myself worked up for the long-shot candidate.”
When Mr. Farrar finally stops playing control freak and telling people on blogs what to do, and gets around to dating, that should be good news for all the less-than-attractive ladies.
Better yet, why not get some self-esteem and support a candidate that isn’t a crackpot loser who attracts other crackpot losers.
Comment by anonymous — 1/20/2008 @ 1:59 pm
No, you are right, Jim; how could you know why these nuts banned me.
Therefore, bringing all of my political experience and know-how together, I am now able to understand why I was dispatched…it was because I stated that Bloomberg and his cash was going to come into Dr. Paul’s campaign and be his Vice-President.
So there is a Unity08 connection to Ron Paul, or their will be soon, after all!

DavidFarrar, I think you ought to answer Horatio’s question:
“Why would you vote for someone who hangs out with white supremacists, as Ron Paul does?”
Comment by Junga — 1/20/2008 @ 8:23 pm
I did answer it. What’s your point?
Comment by davidfarrar — 1/21/2008 @ 12:25 am
What a snotty answer. No wonder the libertarians got bugged.
Maybe davidfarrar is a secret, or not-so-secret white supremacist asshole himself.
