 | Mike Huckabee Favors Removing Citizenship of Babies Born in USA |
The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution reads:
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.”
Mike Huckabee has promised the founder of the Minutemen, Jim Gilchrist, that if elected president he would push for judicial rulings and amendments to the U.S. Constitution to keep babies born right here in the USA from having American citizenship. After uncovering this promise, the Washington Times confirmed it with Mike Huckabee’s spokesperson.
Mike Huckabee wants to get Biblical on these babies, visiting the sins of the father or mother on the child. The children we’re talking about here, children of illegal immigrants who were born in the USA, did not sneak into the country. The U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants are not themselves illegal immigrants, since they have not immigrated from anywhere. They are American born. They are subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, just as any person (save those with diplomatic immunity) inside the borders of the United States is. These babies have broken no law, shown no contempt for the legal system. They clearly meet the standards of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution. You’d have to agree that these babies, born right here in the USA, clearly merit citizenship — unless you don’t respect the United States Constitution, that is.
And that’s where Mike Huckabee finds himself. He just doesn’t respect the U.S. Constitution. Mike Huckabee thinks the U.S. Constitution is wrong, and he has sworn to the Minutemen that he’ll work against it. In its place, Mike Huckabee has promised to implement the 20th Century German model of citizenship, in which the worthiness of your parentage is the standard by which you are deemed worthy or unworthy of citizenship, in which generations of families can live in a country and yet not have the right bloodline to merit citizenship. Mike Huckabee’s pledge to take us down this road, his pledge to work against the citizenship standards of the U.S. Constitution, stands in direct opposition to the presidential oath of office prescribed by the U.S. Constitution itself, in which any new president must swear a solemn oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”.
This is the man who’s running neck-and-neck with John Mccain for the Republican presidential nomination. I don’t want Mike Huckabee anywhere near the Oval Office.

I think we should make it as UN appealing to come illegally to America as possible! If you are born here and your mother is a Citizen of another country, you should be a citizen of that other country! Pregnant women are risking their lives, and the lives of their unborn child to come across our boarder just to have a child born here and then they get all the perks that the child gets. Our welfare system is groaning from the strain of this procedure and we can’t let it keep going on like this. Something has to be done!!If YOU want your child to be a citizen of the USA, then you get in line and do it right or go back home, before you push out another welfare baby!

Do you believe more strongly in the ideals contained within the Constitution of the United States, or in your fear and loathing of foreigners, Sassy? If like Mike Huckabee your fear and loathing of the other outweighs your respect for the Constitution, then you’re going to have to try and amend the Constitution to incorporate your disgust. I will stand in your way, because I for one am tired of your brand of fearmongering.

Jim Gilchrist has NO SUPPORTERS, and has NO OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS for his own new sham “PROJECT”.
Jim Gilchrist did the Huckabee endorsement for his own glory. Huckabee was fooled by the Jim Gilchrist Fraud, all other candidates knew to stay away from the criminal fraud of Jim Gilchrist. Huckabee Clueless on immigration was the only one who responded to Jim Gilchrist pleas for himself to work with a Presidential Candidate because all the others knew that Jim Gilchrist is headed to jail for criminal fraud.
Jim Gilchrist is being sued for Fraud by the Minuteman Project Board of Directors.

Judge Randall Wilkinson denied Jim Gilchrist’s Motion to Reconsider his previous Motion for Demurer that the same Judge denied on November 11th. Gilchrist is trying to have this case dismissed, just like he dismissed his own case against Marvin Stewart, Barb Coe, Scott Powelson and Deborah Courtney after the four presented Judge Wilkinson a tremendous amount of evidence of the fraud, perjury, and embezzlement that Gilchrist and his co-defendants have perpetrated upon the Nation. The proof went to the same Judge Wilkinson in the form of audio recordings, email, and news casts. The Judge declared in court that he listened to and read each and every one very carefully, right before Gilchrist withdrew his own suit…
The same Judge Wilkinson, on November 11 and again today, denied Gilchrist’s Motion to Strike down Marvin Stewart and Deborah Courtney from going forward as The Minuteman Project Board of Director’s in suing Jim Gilchrist as an individual for Fraud, as well as his wife Sandy Gilchrist, Tim Bueler, Steve Eichler, Tommy Crenshaw, who are all in Default, as well as Does 1-500 who have participated in Jim’s charade or who have been illegally paid as his henchmen, and will be named very soon.

Attorney Mark Brown then followed Marvin Stewart out of the Court Room today and wanted to know what it would take to make all this go away…which it won’t, and it can’t, until Deborah, Marvin, Barb, Scott and Paul, as well as the good donors of this Nation and every leader in this Movement, are adjudicated in court, and until we have had time to let the legal system bring charges against both Gilchrist’s, Bueler, Eichler, and Crenshaw, as well as a few others.
This is the second time that Jim Gilchrist has wanted to hold a meeting this month with the same Board of Director’s who fired him, but why? At this late date, let law enforcement and the jury system sort it all out: I know Marv, Paul, Barb, Scott, and I can withstand anything they throw at us, we already have….
Confusing? It doesn’t have to be if you follow these few steps. Paul Sielski documented the fraud and embezzlement that Marvin Stewart, Barb Coe, Scott Powelson, Donna Delano, and I suspected that the Gilchrist’s, Stephen Eichler JD, Tim Bueler, Tommy Crenshaw JD, and a few others committed. Gilchrist and others have since tried to convolute by posting lies and trying to extort all of the Movement into silence, lest any one else gets sued or beat to heck like we have been. Gilchrist and eichler have been known to call other leaders in the Movement and tell them they will sue them if they side with us…do you smell the acrid smell of ‘extortion’ in the air?

The Board of Director’s legally fired Bueler, then Eichler, and then Jim Gilchrist last January 26, 2007, with 3 of 7 members. Per the Legal Librarian at the Library of Congress, one third IS quorum, and three of seven is 43%. Why? Because in Delaware, a Not For Profit, or Non Stock Corporations have a harder time pulling it’s Board Members together because they are typically not paid, so in order to get business to move forward, the threshold for conducting business has been lowered.
I guess this means we also legally fired Perry Emerson and Jack Sharpe AKA Jim Gilchrist, who posts under these psuedonyms.
Gilchrist is done. Quorum is his argument, and quorum we have, so the sooner we get him out of the way, as should have happened last January, the sooner the thievery of $40,000 to $70,000 per month will stop.

Well, that’s charming, and has nothing to do with the subject at hand other than the name Jim Gilchrist. Nice to know that the Minuteman Project is protecting all Americans’ God-given right to spread SPAM all over the Internet.
The subject at hand is Mike Huckabee, who wants to be our next president, who is attracting significant Republican support, and who wants to take away citizenship from American-born babies.

The ability to amend the Constituion is also a part of the Constitution. There is nothing wrong with swearing to defend and protect the Constitution and working to amend the Constitution. There is plenty wrong with Mike Huckabee but his willingness to take on provisions of the Constitution by trying to amend them (as opposed to ignoring them like Bush) is not one of them.

If it is suggested that babies born in the United States should not be citizens since their parents came “illegally,” than what about all of us whose grandparents came from other nations. Following that logic, all of us living in the United States except the native Americans, should be sent back to where our grandparents came from. Some how, those who speak against the Constitution, do not understand the deep logic and insight of our Founding Fathers. I for one believe the the Constituion created by our Founding Fathers.

You forgot “preserve,” mkb. The president swears an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. Mike Huckabee wants to amend the Constitution in this and other ways, to transform it from a document of liberty into a document of venal exclusion.

Preserving the Constitution does not mean not amending the Constitution. Thank goodness the Constitution has been amended. We are a better country for it. If Hillary Clinton or Barack Oabama said that they planned to push for the adoption of the Equal Rights Amendment (and maybe they have), I would not complain. It is not people who are willing to amend the Constitution who are to be feared, it is those like Bush who are willing to ignore it. Huckabee is a disaster for other reasons, but not because of his willingness to consider amending the Constitution.

I am aware that the Constitution can be amended. But there are ways of amending the Constitution that would gut its spirit, and I oppose anyone who would do so, even though they can try to do it.
