In the past three days, I’ve received two calls from staffers at the Hillary Clinton campaign, asking if I would be willing and able to volunteer in various capacities for the Clinton campaign here in Ohio. The staffers were brief, to the point, specific and practical in their requests.
I’ve received no such request from the campaign for Barack Obama, though I’ve signed up for contacts from the Obama campaign as well.
Update, 6:31 pm: Make that three calls from the Clinton campaign for volunteers. One of the volunteer coordinators for the Clinton campaign just called me again and reports that the Clinton volunteer effort in Ohio is going so well that the Clinton campaign has filled its dedicated space for volunteers and is out grabbing yet more space. I’m also told that there will be a “major” endorsement announcement from the Clinton campaign in Ohio early tomorrow afternoon. Watch for it.
Still no contact from the Obama campaign. Hillary Clinton is on top of grassroots political organization right now in the Buckeye state.
