The Terrorist Meat Solution?

I was looking up information about beef consumption in the United States (more about that later today), when I came across a reference to a document from a company called Cargill Meat Solutions.

That company name has stuck in an uncomfortable cranny of my mind. I don’t know what to do with the idea of a “meat solution”. Maybe I’m missing out on an important part of life, though, so I’m asking for input: Does anyone out there use meat as a solution to their everyday problems?

Looking into this Cargill Meat Solutions company, I came across two recent news stories of a disturbing nature. First, a Cargill Meat Solution packing factory in Booneville, Arkansas has recently been destroyed by a series of explosions. Then there’s recall of one million pounds of dangerous, contaminated beef that had been sent out by Cargill to be eaten by Americans.

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I might conclude that Cargill Meat Solutions is up to some kind of nefarious terrorist plot to attack America with a combination of explosive steaks and biological weapons delivered by hamburger. It would be our century’s equivalent of the Nazi Final Solution, only it would be called the Meat Solution instead.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, however. So, I will just stick with my original line of inquiry, and ask, Does anybody understand what a meat solution is?
