Obama is a Communist Poet and His Name Is Frank

Two years ago, I wrote an article asking Is Hillary Clinton a Communist? At the time, Republicans were busy avoiding the shameful failure of their own ideology, and redirecting their fury against Hillary Clinton, calling her a Communist, as if the Cold War had not ended two decades ago.
Now, I find myself having to ask the same question about Barack Obama. I keep on running into people who insist that Barack Obama is a Marxist. It’s interesting to me that these same people insist that Obama is also a fundamentalist Muslim and, furthermore, a member of a Christian church they don’t approve of.
Not all of these things can be true. A person can’t be a Marxist, a Muslim, and a Christian all at the same time. So, what’s the truth about Barack Obama?
To give the right wing a fair chance to convince me that Barack Obama is a Marxist (not a Muslim or a Christian), I decided to visit right wing web site Accuracy in Media, which, in order to show that it’s a truly objective observer of American media, has as its tagline, “You won’t believe what liberals say”.
In their report, Is Barack Obama A Marxist Mole?, AIM suggests that indeed Barack Obama is a Marxist.
Their evidence? Some time, when Barack Obama was between the ages of 10 years old and 18 years old, Obama had contact with poet Frank Marshall Davis. AIM reports,
“Through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted relationship with someone who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his “poetry” and getting advice on his career path.
Isn’t it curious how AIM puts quotes around the word “poetry”, as if what Frank Marshall Davis wrote was not actually poetry, but something more radical and dangerous, like the instructions for how to build a bomb? Actually, Frank Marshall Davis did write poetry, not “poetry”.
But, wait ’til you hear what else AIM has to say about Barack Obama’s connection to Marxist Communist ideology… well, it doesn’t really have anything else to say on the matter.
So, that’s it. That’s their big whopping evidence that Barack Obama is a Communist. AIM wants us to believe that Barack Obama is a Communist just because Obama once had some kind of contact, perhaps when Obama was as young as ten or eleven years old, with poet Frank Marshall Davis, who had three decades earlier, during World War II, been a member of the Communist Party.
This isn’t a view held just by AIM. These are the flimsy standards by which Republicans in general are now calling Barack Obama a Marxist. By these standards, if you happen to meet a person who once was a Communist, then you must be a Communist too. Even if you were just an eleven year-old kid, you’re tainted for life.
If we accept these kind of standards, then we have to accept the idea that Barack Obama absorbed the other characteristics of Frank Marshall Davis as well. If just talking to poet Frank Marshall Davis a few times as a young adolescent made Barack Obama a lifelong Communist, then Barack Obama’s conversations must have made him a poet too. Even though Barack Obama has never had any poems published, we can by AIM’s standards call Barack Obama a poet, because Barack Obama met with a poet once or twice when he was a kid.
Also, we need to revise the way we speak about Barack Obama. If we are to learn from the wisdom of AIM’s analysis of the relationship between Barack Obama and Frank Marshall Davis, we must reach the obvious conclusion that Barack Obama’s real name is Frank. After all, Barack Obama met with Frank Marshall Davis when he was a kid. Therefore, Barack Obama must secretly be a Frank too.
Why won’t Barack Obama admit to being a poet? Why won’t he admit that his name is Frank?
These are serious questions for very, very serious thinkers.

You should do your homework before you post your opinion based on one article.
For example, you should read Obama’s book, where he, himself discribes Frank as a mentor when he was young, and whom gave him career directions right before he left for college at the age of 18 (not quite a kid anymore, huh), and how he liked to go to Franks house and listen to his poetry (more than a couple of times as you try to imply).
Obama’s book says he was almost like a son to Davis. That’s not something the website just made up and printed for shits and giggles.
How do you know Obama doesn’t write poetry? Have you been to his house? Did you had a nice cup of tea with his wife and she told you Obama doesn’t write poetry? Tell all of us, just where you found this verifiable information… you didn’t hesitate to list the website that called Obama a Marxist… please don’t hesitate to list where you found Obama doesn’t write poetry. Just because he hasn’t had any published, doesn’t mean he doesn’t write.
Maybe he writes and never had them published for a reason… like maybe his writings (if he does write) is radical and Anti-government like Davis’s was. It sure wouldn’t do much for his political career should such poetry surface.
Obama’s book says Rev Wright was his spiritual advisor… now he says he’s not. Obama flip-flops more than a wet fish on the beaches of Hawaii. He’s another John Kerry… he flows with the tide… says whatever it takes to make him popular and get elected (of course Kerry failed). Obama has an agenda and it doesn’t appear to be for the good of our nation.
I have done my homework and I am not impressed with Obama. There isn’t a single thing that he has done that’s significate to the American people. There’s plenty he’s done for the blacks, but nothing notable for the whites, hispanics, or other American cultures.
He has a wife that is one-sided and feels the world (whites) owe her something. She is a perfect example of why racism continues today… with her feel sorry for me because I’m black attitude… we will never have a chance because we’re black…we now have a chance at the white house theme (as if no black has ever made it inside the white house)… and blah…blah…blah.
I guess Colin Powell (whom I would vote for should he run for president) and Condi Rice don’t count as being in the White House… at least not to hear Michelle Obama tell it. There isn’t a sector in this world that doesn’t employ blacks. Michelle and Barack needs to get in touch with reality and actually go out a visit some of the work force. They may find their assessment is way off base and they don’t have a clue as to how the American people truly lives.
If Michelle wants blame someone, she needs to blame her own ancestors, afterall, they are the ones that sold the blacks to Americans in the first place. We didn’t go to Africa (like Rev Wright tries to imply) and kidnap the blacks. Blacks were already slaves (and still are) in Africa. The blacks sold and traded “their” black slaves to us for monetary gain. So put the blame where the blame is due. Of course the blacks can’t sue Africa for money.. so it’s imperative that they blame the whites and the U.S. for all their troubles… it’s the easiest way to get paid.
Obama has had dinner and cocktails at his house with known terrorist, he was raised in Hawaii (a U.S. state trying to separate itself from the U.S. See the Akaka Bill, which Obama supports… so much for Obama saying he’s trying to unite Americans), had regular relationships with such people as Rev. Wright (his spiritual advisor as Obama said in his book) for 20 years, Iranians are calling U.S. citizens from Iran to drum up support for Obama (Obama claims they are just volunteers and his campaign isn’t paying them… what possible reason would Iran have to support Obama… it doesn’t look good),refused to wear a U.S. pin (until recently and only because it was hurting his campaign), has never said he loves America or vowed his devotion to the U.S. (what he did say, is he would be for the American people… that doesn’t say he’s for our governments), and the list just goes on and on and on.
Obama is a problem… and unfortunately it looks like he will be our problem. So for all you people supporting Obama, helping him to get elected, without doing your research first… I hope when the first bomb hits our nation… you are personally there to see it.

Anonymous, I’m disappointed. When you write out racial epithets, you should use complete sentences so as to be more clear. As it is, I really don’t know what you mean. Do you mean, “I am a fool, and look, behind your shoulder is a nigger”? Do you mean, “I am a fool, and Barack Obama is a nigger”? Do you mean, “I am a fool, and Frank Davis is a nigger”? Or do you mean, “I am a fool, especially for thinking that people will change their minds when I spout words like ‘nigger’”?
