![]() | Obama A Radical Hawaiian Separatist! |
The desperate Republican efforts to find something about Barack Obama that they can hate reached a new low level of silly today, with the accusation made by a reader of Irregular Times that Obama is dangerous to the United States because “he was raised in Hawaii (a U.S. state trying to separate itself from the U.S.”
Barack Obama Exposed! Now the truth can be told! Obama is a radical… dangerous… Hawaiian… separatist?
I’m sorry, but I can’t stop myself from giggling. This latest attack against Barack Obama is just too absurd to be outraged about. Who would believe that just because Barack Obama spent part of his childhood in Hawaii that he must be a danger to America, some kind of militant separatist with the Hawaiian Liberation Front?
Apparently, this reader never stopped to consider that John McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone, a strip of U.S. territory that actually did separate from the United States. If we were to follow the Hawaiian conspiracy theory’s line of reasoning, we would have to conclude that John McCain is in cahoots with Panamanians who are going to take over the USA the minute McCain steps into the White House.
What’s next? Are we going to be warned that because Barack Obama was raised by a single mother, he is an anti-marriage radical who will nullify all wedding vows with an Executive Order the morning after Inauguration day?
It is a time of fear in the face of freedom, a time for the widening of previous roads and the opening of new paths, a time of an emptying country and swelling cities, yet a time when these paths are mined by knowing algorithms of the all-seeing eye. It is the time of the warrior's peace and the miser's charity, when the planting of a seed is an act of conscientious objection.

Hey! Thanks for all the great info. I was browsing through a bunch of political websites and blogs (mostly liberal ones) and I came across your blog and find it to be very interesting. There are a bunch of others I like too, like huff post, and other news sites like politico. Do you know of any that cover politics and the environment? I saw earthurladdedasaspamlab.com which has mostly environmental info but some politics. I took EarthLaburladdedasaspam.com’s carbon calculator (http://www.earthlaburladdedasaspam.com/signupprofile/). I was pretty easy to use (and it doesn’t make me feel guilty after I take it). Are there any other blogs you would recommend? Can you drop me a link to your favorites or any ones with green info?

“Sam” is using a temporary auto-generated e-mail account to stick this spam message on dozens of websites at a time. The website the spambot refers people to is sponsored by Estee Lauder and dozens of other corporations. I have no idea whether it is legit. The spam certainly is not.

But is Barack Obama’s Hawaiian Liberation Front Muslim terrorist group legit? That’s the point!
