Support for the FISA Amendments Act has cost Barack Obama a lot more than just the respect of voters. It’s costing his campaign valuable donations.
Consider the following message from Wendell who lives in Kirkland, Washington. Wendell had been making donations to the Obama for President campaign, until Barack Obama announced his intention to vote for the FISA Amendments Act. Now, Wendell’s money is staying at home.
Wendell explains,
“I will resume contributions when I see the senator show some courage and take a progressive stand – hopefully this Tuesday by joining the filibuster against this FISA bill. Show some leadership, stand up for what is right, and this campaign will continue to gain support from huge numbers of Americans who would not vote otherwise. You will also attract the votes of independent middle-America voters who recognize true leadership and the need for change. Or follow the Bill Clinton triangulation model, lose the “Obama brand”, and risk losing the election.”
I’m glad to see people are waking up to Obama. I’m not a McCain supporter either. I’m an Independent that supports Ron Paul. With the nomination lost to McCain, I was leaning to Obama. Now…I just hope that by some miracle of God, Ron Paul somehow gets in the ballot.
Lemuria, I really don’t care for Ron Paul at all, but I would gladly vote for him over McCain or Obama. I had decided to vote for Obama, but after this, I don’t think that’s going to happen.
I agree, Bill. Barack Obama has proven that he can’t be trusted with power.
If only Kucinich won..
