![]() | Amazing! The Harmonic Convergence of Pharmacists Around Marion Berry |
On the morning of June 16, 2008, Bradley Arthur of East Amherst, New York decided that, by gum, it was the right time to give a campaign contribution to Democratic Representative Marion Berry of Arkansas.
The very same day,
John Carson of San Antonio, Texas,
Angelo De Fazio of Collinsville, Connecticut,
Stephen Giroux of Gasport, New York,
Robert Greenwood of Waterloo, Iowa,
Kerry Prickett of Birmingham, Alabama,
Bruce Roberts of Leesburg, Virginia,
Mark Salvatore of Lewistown, Pennsylvania
and
Dirk White of Sitka, Alaska
also decided that it was a dandy idea to give a campaign contribution to this fine upstanding congressman from Arkansas. (source: Federal Election Commission)
Oh, hey, did I mention that these gentlemen are all pharmacists?
And hey, check this out, folks. Did you know that Arthur Bradley, John Carson, Angelo De Fazio, Stephen Giroux, Robert Greenwood, Kerry Prickett and Dirk White also gave in June of 2008 to the National Community Pharmacists Association PAC? On the same day as each other, too: June 23, 2008 (Source: FEC Data). I hear the NCPA is very happy with what Rep. Marion Berry has been up to lately.
Uncanny! I mean, what are the chances of that kind of set of multiple coincidences? It’s just crazy, especially when you consider that Representative Marion Berry isn’t really in need of extra campaign cash. After all, he won in three straight landslides in his district in 2002, 2004 and 2006. Other than the 9 pharmacists who all gave to Marion Berry on the same day, there were just 5 other people who gave to Marion Berry’s re-election in the entire month of June — 3 lobbyists, 1 Park Avenue CEO and 1 retiree, the only person contributing to Marion Berry in June who is actually from Arkansas. No, Marion Berry doesn’t need the money. But it surely is helpful in reimbursing his wife for airfare and meals… in June 2008 and April 2008 and February and January 2008 and way on back before that.
So many people in so many states with so many common actions. Is this a symbol of, like, harmonic convergence or something? I say it’s time for us all to start looking for more evidence of happenstance convergences like these. They may indicate the imminent arrival of the alien spaceship, or perhaps the End Times. I can’t tell which; I guess I need to adjust the azimuth on my tinfoil helmet receiver antenna.
======
P.S. Above I refer to all of these pharmacists as gentlemen. Now, to be fair I wasn’t sure about “Kerry Prickett” being a gentleman by his name, but then I noticed the following photo of him with Alabama Governor Bob Riley and U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt:

They just bumped into each other in a room, and all of them turned out to be interested in Medicare reimbursement issues… which also happens to be a major concern of the good Representative Marion Berry lately, especially Medicare reimbursement issues… regarding pharmacists!
Someone has got to tell Fox Mulder about this. Talk to any other federal agents and they’ll deny that the source of this coincidence is supernatural. They’ll say it’s something more mundane and self-interested. Pah! I know the alien clones have something to do with this. I mean, just look at Kerry Prickett’s eyes.

By “etc.”, you presumably mean that people who call political bloggers politically corrupt are politically corrupt…
“All politicians are corrupt” is an awfully handy thing to say if you just don’t want to bother taking a careful look at specific instances of corruption and bringing them to light.
