Barack Obama Is Now For Offshore Oil Drilling

Barack Obama? I just don’t get what’s going through his head. He can’t seem to find an issue he isn’t willing to cave in on.

barack obama supports offshore drillingThis week, it’s offshore drilling. During the Democratic primaries, Barack Obama said he was against lifting the ban on new drilling for oil along America’s coastlines. Now, the Democratic Party primary elections are all wrapped up, and Obama says that he’s willing to join George W. Bush again, this time to support offshore drilling.

Flip. Flop.

Oily Obama is siding with the big oil companies now.

It may not be something you can believe in, but oh, it’s change all right.

Sooner or later people will see little difference between the two major party candidates on their policies and positions since both are being heavily invested in by corporate America (to whom they’ll owe “favors”).

We have no effective choice (since people and the media won’t support third party candidates like Nader), so don’t expect things to change for the better any time soon. Also, the economic downturn will effectively constrain the new administration’s policies.

It’s looking bleaker each day for any kind of improvement in the quality of life of most Americans following the next election.

Keep an eye on this administration’s attempts to put the screws to us big time on their way out the door. For examples, check out a website called The Pump Handle.

yes the quality of life is looking so bleak, the middle and upper class is growing, while the lower class is shrinking, I wonder then where they are going?

  3. Green Man says:

Kenny, can you provide some actual facts to back up your claim that the middle class is growing?

The population below the poverty line is only 12%. Plus, as a teacher, I am tired of seeing parents of kids that are on free and reduced lunch coming to pick up their kids in brand new cars and SUV’s, meanwhile I am living paycheck to paycheck. Something doesn’t add up to me.

  5. Green Man says:

As a teacher, you ought to know that a single static statistic can not ever be used to prove that change has taken place. How sloppy.

  6. Kenny says:

I did not see any facts backing up this articles claim that the quality of life is bleak. I was just pointing out that people in america that seem so poor actually can afford cell phones, new cars, homes and cable tv. Then they whine about not being able to afford health insurance and other things and demand the government pay for it. I think they have their priorities out of whack.
