“What is it Exactly That the VP Does Everyday?” — Sarah Palin, August 1 2008
Let’s get the question out there. Maybe somebody knows the answer!
Will Sarah Palin be the Vice Presidential candidate that just keeps giving? Somebody should ask her to spell the word “potato” just to be sure:
[Thanks to Evil Poet for pointing me to the interview with that gem in it.]

Wait! There’s more!
McCain Didn’t Even Know Palin Before Picking Her
Tisk…tisk…anything that works for you I guess….but this was a brilliant political move. Obama is toast….
Oh and one more thing….you may have thought Quayle was stupid…but he still ended up being Vice President….
Sam – Perhaps you can enlighten us – what are her qualifications?
She caught a fish once. And shot a moose. And she won a beauty contest in a town of a few thousand people.
Her qualifications is that she has a BA in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Idaho. She has owned her onwn business. She has worked in local government and been the governer for two years of the state with the 5th highest GDP \ capita. Her state is only 200K people less than Joe Biden’s. She has proven track record as as a reformer during her term of Governor.
And what are Obama’s accomplishments? What formal office did he hold before becoming Senator two years ago? And when did Barack Obama start campaigning? Hmm, pretty hard to represent your state when you are constantly campaigning. How many absent votes did he have?
Here – see for yourself: http://www.votesmart.org/bio.php?can_id=9490
Palin has a BA in journalism AND political science? Someone needs to correct this page: http://www.votesmart.org/bio.php?can_id=27200 It doesn’t mention the political science part.
Sam, it’d be laughable how you support anything Republican, even the trashing of the economy and the ruination of the military, if our government wasn’t so unconstitutional after the Bush years and the country wasn’t on the brink of bankruptcy as a result. Yet you’ll go and vote for more of the same. It must be nice to be independently wealthy and not have to worry about anything (except keeping any kind of change for the better from happening).
Anyone old enough to remember how you felt when Lyndon Johnson took the oath of office aboard Air Force One on November 22, 1963 should think about how it would feel if we faced that same circumstance and Sara Palin was put in charge of our country. She may be a very nice woman, she has no credentials for leading our country. If McCain thinks that she will win the women’s votes just because she is a woman he is insulting American women. His choice is appalling!
