Dear AG Wasilla Pastor Ed Kalnins, Alaska District Executive Board, and Members of the AG in Alaska,

You should be apprised of the following New York State Supreme Court Ruling against George Wood, Gen Supt of Assemblies of God national headquarters and Duane Durst, District Supt for hijacking and padlocking a local church and trying to seize their bank account a very different kind of making merchandise of men's souls, but just as destructive!

But there is another reason this should concern you. I know that Sarah Palin attends or has attended your church. She may have 2010 Presidential aspirations. But this bombshell will explode as a national story beginning the first week of January. The last thing Sarah Palin needs is a national news story about the corruption and abuse of power in her own denomination...particularly since she is known as a champion of the little guy and passionately opposes BIG BROTHER government. I would assume that would mean whether the U.S. Govt or Church Government. I encourage you to forward this to her. I don't think she would like to find out about it when it is too late, and then discovers that you or some other leader in the AG knew about it and said nothing to her or your congregation. I pray this would not be the case. Sarah nobly exposed corporate corruption in Alaska...even her own Republican Party. So, I would think she would be even more passionate to expose it when she discovers it in her own Christian denomination! This poses a question for you. If George Wood and your District Director attempted to seize Wassila Assembly of God church property, bank account and assets, would you oppose them publicly and defend your own flock?

Sincerely,

Cell phone??? Sweetie... My God doesn't need a cell phone for me to reach Him. His Spirit lives within me and He is available 24/7! All I have to do is call His name and He is there... Hard to understand and comprehend however I am not a radical person but I know when God speaks to me

"Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ." Romans 10:16-18

You want to know how I hear God??? I shut my trap and listen! God Speaks to Us Through Prayer... Example: When you want to have a conversation with someone, how do you begin? That's just how it is with God. One speaks; the other listens!

God speaks to us through reading His Word. God is not the author of confusion therefore if you think you hear God and are confused about what you are hearing or sensing...that's not God!

My sources are
1. My personal experience
2. The Bible: God speaks to us through His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Isaiah 55:11 tells us, “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” The Bible records God’s words to us in everything we need to know in order to be saved and live the Christian life. 2 Peter 1:3-4 declares, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

There is a WHOLE LOT MORE FOR US TO GAIN than what God gains. He is the provider...we are the receiver, or in your words "user"... :)

Hey, trishy, if you have a personal relationship with Jesus, how come he won't give you his cell phone number? He hasn't given it to you, has he? That's cause he's just <i>using</i> you, girlfriend.

JClifford, I am not feeling crispy from anything other than tanning on my boat.

Regarding your comments: In order to know the facts, you must be able to find the documentation that supports what you are referring to. From the article written it is not clear that the "official papers" were not the ones you would find upon clicking on the link provided however after reading your post above, I dug further. I dissected everything on the AOG website and was able to find the information regarding AOG's belief on Homosexuality however the point this site is trying to make is that God only said the non-Christians and Homosexuals would be tortured... From what I have studied, the God of the Bible does not descriminate against sin, in otherwords there are 26 articles or "position papers" on the AOG site which appear to be written in order to further explain their "position" as to why they believe accordingly. These positions are 100% fact based, according to their source...the Bible.

The following scripture is one I found that the AOG based their statement on (plus many others that are listed on the document):
“Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral[10] nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders . . . will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9,10).

AOG confirms there is no affirmation of homosexuality in the Bible however that the consistent ideal of sexuality in the Bible is " chastity for those outside a monogamous heterosexual marriage and fidelity for those inside such a marriage. There is also abundant evidence that homosexual behavior, along with illicit heterosexual behavior, is immoral and comes under the judgment of God.

Leviticus 20:13 provides a restatement, “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable."

In lieu of the above statements on their website, the AOG also confirm what a Christians responsibility is and nowhere in that statement am I able to find hateful or vile words:

" To unbelievers we must reach out with compassion and humility. We must hold no malice toward, or fear of, homosexuals—such attitudes are not of Christ. At the same time we must not condone sexual behavior God has defined as sinful. Christians should also do all they can to assist the person who has struggled with homosexual behaviors to find deliverance. Change is not always easy but it is possible. It may require the help of others in the body of Christ, such as counselors and pastors, as well as a supportive church fellowship. Christian organizations are also available to help those who seek to change their lifestyles.
***We desire all to be reconciled to God—to experience the peace and joy that stems from the forgiveness of sin through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. ***God does not want any to perish in their sins; He
invites all to accept His offer of eternal life (John 3:16). As part of His church, we issue that invitation to life in Christ to everyone."

I went to an AOG church for 18 years however have not attended an AOG church in 20 years therefore this may help you understand why I was not familiar with the some of the documentation described...please understand I truly was not lying... I have great compassion for people because of my own struggles that I have faced in life and have overcome however I also have a LONG WAY TO GO!!!

For you not to "believe in any Gods" is your "choice". You will have to live with your decision and I hope that one day you will be open enough to see the reality of what having a personal relationship with Jesus is like. It's nothing to be afraid of and you don't have to be a "sadistic freak". Like in all things we do there are consequences and rewards. I don't condemn you for what you do...you only have to answer to yourself...and if you are a Christian, you answer to God. Please note, ANY BIBLE BASED CHURCH who declare themselves to be Christians must believe the entire Bible...again, picking and choosing is not an option however is the usual practice for many. Most churches believe these statements and versus to be truth however are afraid to stand up for what they believe because of the criticism they will receive from those who don't agree. It is easier to blend with the world than to stand up for what a person truly believes in. I personally do not like communicating with the "radical Christian's" because they tend to have no compassion and understanding for what people go through and many times the radical Christians are the ones you can't trust... Not all however many have been uncovered. In the Bible God refers to people who cover up their sin will be exposed but those who uncover the sin and ask for forgiveness...He will protect!

Trishy, when you say, <i>"nor does the AOG state this actual comment as one of their “official papers"</i>, you aren't being truthful.

Read: http://irregulartimes.com/palinlakeoffire.html

And see the source, from the Assembly of God official web site,

http://www.ag.org/top/Beliefs/Position_Papers/pp_4172_eternal_punishment.cfm

"approved by its General Presbytery."

You know, Trish, that same official Position Paper says that liars are doomed to the lake of fire for all eternity too. Are you feeling extra crispy?

You say, <i>"there is forgiveness for all sin as long as the repentance and salvation comes before death"</i>. So, that means that unbelievers won't be subjected to torture so long as they repent and agree to become Christians? Oh, what an enlightened religion! I can avoid torture if only I do the bidding of your church! Wow! Thanks! Of course, then I wouldn't be an unbeliever anymore, would I?

<i>"If you ask him to forgive you and you accept Him into your heart, you are forgiven..."</i> ... but if you don't do exactly as God says, God will arrange for you to be tortured with hideous pain in a lake of fire forever and ever and ever.

Let me make this clear, Trishy: I don't believe in your God, or any gods. I never have. But, even if I did believe in the existence of your God, as described by your harsh theology, I would not worship your God, because your God is a sadistic freak.

I think it's deliciously ironic that you complain that people like me are "condemning" the Assemblies of God and Sarah Palin by daring to criticize them. Remember that it's Sarah Palin's church, the Assemblies of God, who is declaring people like me to be condemned to torture, and calling it a good thing. That's what condemning looks like, Trish.

Actually Hooptie,(if you're not ticked off at me from the other blog) I re-read " the plan of God to torture nonChristians and homosexuals for all eternity" and what is not being said is that Palin did not make this actual comment nor does the AOG state this actual comment as one of their "official papers" however what needs to be understood is the correlation of the two sins according to the Bible.

Although you would think it should be less of a sin to be a liar or a sexually immoral person in God's eyes than a murderer, it is not therefore the statement made could have easily had the word "homosexual" replaced with "liar" because to God all sin is the same...a sin is a sin.

The difference is (and I still need to study further about this part) is the price we pay for the different types of sin we commit. In that aspect, to us as humans, the comparison is an offensive statement because one wouldn't think that loving someone, who happens to be the same sex, would be equivalent to a murderer however in God's eyes it is as is "LYING". Lying is measured the same as the sexually immoral sin and murderous sin. The Bible says that we are to follow the laws of the land however that his law is above all laws.

The Bible and the AOG as well as all other "Christian" churches for that matter say there is forgiveness for all sin as long as the repentance and salvation comes before death. A person with an unrepentant heart who has not gotten saved before Jesus returns to take His people home the Bible says it is too late for repentance. The alarming part is the Bible states there aren't as many of us going to heaven when he returns as we think therefore this is a reminder to us daily to make sure our hearts are right with God.

I won't be surprised if you or someone else mocks everything I have said however I know I am doing my best to make sure others who are unaware, know and understand or at least have the small understanding that I do of what the Bible says. I don't like interpretations however so often what we hear is someone's interpretation only that is spoken as truth. Just as some "Christian's" use the verse "do not be unequally yoked"..... as a command from God, that a black person should not marry a white person or any other nationality, it is wrong! What they are doing is selecting a portion of the verse to fit their way of thinking therefore by omitting the part that says "with unbelievers". To me, that is a sin! They are taking God's word and twisting it for their racially prejudiced way of thinking.

I guess the last thing I want to say is for all of you condemning Sarah Palin and the AOG, you will have to answer to God for mocking those that He calls His Own. That doesn't mean you shouldn't disect her voting habits or find out if she is going to act in a fashion that complies with what our Constitutional rights are however if you are someone who says you go to church and you believe the Bible, you have to believe all the Bible which means you are not to mock someone for believing and having a relationship with God. I have been told by people who didn't believe God at one time in their life however through a catastrophic event thought it might be a good idea "just in case"... You can't just pick and choose when it's convenient because God knows our heart and our intentions...in other words, he sees through the bull! It's a daily battle for me and my mouth usually gets in my way however God knows your heart and if you ask him to forgive you and you accept Him into your heart, you are forgiven!

Actually Hooptie,(if you’re not ticked off at me from the other blog) I re-read ” the plan of God to torture nonChristians and homosexuals for all eternity” and what is not being said is that Palin did not make this actual comment nor does the AOG state this actual comment as one of their “official papers” however what needs to be understood is the correlation of the two sins according to the Bible.

Although you would think it should be less of a sin to be a liar or a sexually immoral person in God’s eyes than a murderer, it is not therefore the statement made could have easily had the word “homosexual” replaced with “liar” because to God all sin is the same…a sin is a sin.

The difference is (and I still need to study further about this part) is the price we pay for the different types of sin we commit. In that aspect, to us as humans, the comparison is an offensive statement because one wouldn’t think that loving someone, who happens to be the same sex, would be equivalent to a murderer however in God’s eyes it is as is “LYING”. Lying is measured the same as the sexually immoral sin and murderous sin. The Bible says that we are to follow the laws of the land however that his law is above all laws.

The Bible and the AOG as well as all other “Christian” churches for that matter say there is forgiveness for all sin as long as the repentance and salvation comes before death. A person with an unrepentant heart who has not gotten saved before Jesus returns to take His people home the Bible says it is too late for repentance. The alarming part is the Bible states there aren’t as many of us going to heaven when he returns as we think therefore this is a reminder to us daily to make sure our hearts are right with God.

I won’t be surprised if you or someone else mocks everything I have said however I know I am doing my best to make sure others who are unaware, know and understand or at least have the small understanding that I do of what the Bible says. I don’t like interpretations however so often what we hear is someone’s interpretation only that is spoken as truth. Just as some “Christian’s” use the verse “do not be unequally yoked”….. as a command from God, that a black person should not marry a white person or any other nationality, it is wrong! What they are doing is selecting a portion of the verse to fit their way of thinking therefore by omitting the part that says “with unbelievers”. To me, that is a sin! They are taking God’s word and twisting it for their racially prejudiced way of thinking.

Why Hooptie, I think you are getting sweet on me! Actually, you can go to each website, just like I said and find the documentation yourself! Type in "what do _________ believe?
Or see below:
Example: Baptist Belief regarding the Lord’s return: God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. …Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly…the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell. …The righteous… will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.
You can find this at: http://www.sbc.net/aboutus/basicbeliefs.asp

There were many more...this site won't allow me to put them in for some reason!??
