isn’t it odd that Obama had to answer to the media and rightwing nuts about Rev. Wright…(and yes, I think Wright is WRONG!) however, NO ONE batted a well groomed eyelash at Caribou Barbie about her pastor, who believes he can hunt down witches all in the name of Jesus….
I dunno, her pastor and Wright sound quite a bit the same….EXTREME, STUPID, and terribly misguided…
now pass me the chicken bones and magic crystals, before I put a spell on ya’all!!

This Wasilla AOG video (Master’s Commission) is pretty typical of the many I have seen that were produced by and for Evangelical churches. The productions are intended to appeal to energetic young people who have been weaned on movies and video games with similar looks and sounds. The End Times talk is just something to bait the hook and get kids into Bible studies and churches. 90% of America’s Evangelicals will see nothing disturbing or unusual about this. The other 10% will wince slightly, as I did, and think , “Gosh, more of that…”

More troubling is the uncritical way Palin seems to be willing to pander to anybody at all in order to get where she wants to go. She does not seem to have a very high regard for truth.

Witch finding is always preceded by witch hunts. And that sets off warning bells in the 50′s section of my memory.

McCarthy hunted Communists under every bed and was the cause of libraries being purged of Communist and other ‘Un-American’ works of literature.

Ms.Palin has already indicated her desire to purge her local library of books that were at odds with her “Christian” beliefs. What if she is actually elected, would her thought police pounce on irregulartimes?

And this is the person that the republicans want in the heart-beat spot.

Question authority and watch very carefully those who would presume to protect us from ourselves.
