Another first time visitor. I followed the link from the London timesonline website…. Most of these comments are confusing and scary. I don’t what psychiatric facility most of you escaped from, but I begin to see why the American papers won’t publish such a story. Too much bother from the crazies. Coming from the UK these mad rambling make me afraid for the general public in America. That the few who hold these very very intolerant views seem SO loud and SO obnoxious that the press are loath to tell such stories is awful.

First time visitor. Is it normal that the majority of your commenters are so ignorant, or has this one article raised the ire of some fundy website? If the former, condolences. If the latter, congrats.

My problem with fundies and their particular brand of hypocrisy, is that it’s so lazy and defies all rationality.

To say of a witch hunting pastor that you are okay with a person’s religion even if you don’t always agree with the person makes you sound like an ignorant, violent troglodyte, and not just to secular people by the way. It makes you sound that way even to most Christians, not to even mention all the other religions out there.

To say that liberals are godless is just stupid. Most people believe in God, and in the US, most of those believers are some form of Christian or Protestant faith.

How can you defend your church sanctioned ignorance? Do you really believe that God wants you walking around more ignorant than he made you capable of being? How come you never defend your position with a position? You just get blustery and say that’s what God wants? How do you know what God wants; you won’t even use the brains he gave you.

As a Kenyan all I can say is that I pray for America. You have got to be kidding me. I would tell that pastor to come pray for the poor people in Turkana who are at present dying from hunger. America is becoming a sitcom.

That pastor is a common conman who sees witches in anyone not giving him money for his church.
