Let me see if I have this right:
A wise and compassionate supernatural being who endowed me with reason and empathy will condemn me to torment with python spirits and witches in this life and eternal torture in the next–unless I stand in opposition to love, family, marriage, equality and freedom.

Wow.

That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. But hey, thanks for the warning.

Please forgive those of us giving Jesus a bad name. He is much kinder than Ms Palin & her advocates. Also she needs to read her Bible for the Lord’s leading & direction. He would not tell a godly woman to put her career & need for fame before her baby with a disability & other minor children!

So, Satan is like a reporter, who keeps on dwelling on all the details about whether the law was broken and all that, whereas God is like a police officer who, upon catching a murderer roasting a live baby on a spit, says, “Tsk. Tsk! Do you ask for forgiveness? Okay. Well, let’s not dwell on the past. Go home now, and pray a lot, okay?”

It’s just like drugs, alcohol abuse, sexual sin, or even murder.

God just wants us to ask forgiveness of our sins, and then leave them behind and stop dwelling on the past.
Then when satan tries to bring our past up again we can just remind him of his future.

Dustin, I do not have the guilt or shame any more, therapy, and the Goddess helped me there to see the folly of it, and the stupidity of the churches and people twho put it there. I accepted myself for being who and what I am.

As a southern baptist, I read the bible, prayed the lords prayer every night, and tried to follow a life that I thought jesus would approve of. When it came time that I needed spiritual help though, the christian god just wasn’t there.

Now seems kind of silly to put your trust and faith into someone who just isn’t there for you, now doesn’t it?

When I needed spiritual help and guidance, I did finally get it, but not from christ or the christian god. Where your god was silent and absent, the Goddess reached out and comforted me. I have seen my Goddess, I have communed and talked with Her, something that in over 40 years of being a christian never happened.

So keep your silent and absent god. Keep your god whose followers practice hate, fear and prejudice, who are quick to judge and condemn those who are different than them, and who seek only to control other peoples lives. Keep the fear, guilt and shame that your religion is built on, the insane threats from an insane god.

Just say no to psychopathic dieties.

1 Peter 1:23-25

I am sorry you have all this guilt and shame inside. I don’t know you, or your life, but heres what I have learned from mine.

Before were saved God puts conviction in our heart so that we will turn towrd him. It’s just a nudge from the Holy Spirit to let God work in our life.

After we are saved, God says that our sins are forgiven and He will never bring them up again.
The devil will drudge up our past sins to make us feel guilty to try and tempt us to do wrong. God says He will not do that. But the devil knows our weaknesses and will use those against us.

We don’t have to live in shame.

To claim to know what a god would or wouldn’t do is to claim to know the mind of that god. You can’t possibly know that your God wouldn’t have allowed the Bible to be corrupted and for that reason you should take it with a grain of salt. You can have faith that Bible has not been corrupted but to be doubtless in that faith is dangerous… blind faith always is.

LOL, Oh wow, you got me there! I mean how can you argue against a misogynistic prick like Paul. Mr. johnny come lately who did his best to turn christianity into judaism light, and suceeded.

Sorry, been there done that, got the whole load of guilt and shame to prove it too. Should I send the church a bill for the therapy it took to keep me from killing myself from all the emotional baggage you christians laid on me?
