When old landmarks crumble, established roads no longer lead the way. New paths open to those with an irregular eye. Our news is unfit for print.

I wish more progressives were willing to put their country ahead of their love for Obama as you are. Spying on Americans was wrong when Bush did it and it's clearly just as wrong now that Obama is doing it.

It's nice to know that I have at least one liberal counter-part out there.

If the Bush administration - starting with Karl Rove - isn't held accountable for their total trashing of the country through their lax enforcement of regulations (misfeasance), cronyism and corruption, and terrible policies (both foreign and domestic), then we are no longer a democracy in any sense of the word, and specifically we are no longer a country which lives by the rule of law.

This will cause more of the same behaviors by our "elected officials" and cause chaos in the land (why should anyone obey the law if these people can get away with all they've done to the U.S.?).

It's called a public office for a reason. In due time, even classified documents need to be made available to the public.

Do you think the president is entitled to PRIVATE legal advise?

Or do you think everything should end up public. I don't have a strong opinion on this yet.
