In Iran, there’s been a dispute over transfer of power, with two leaders claiming to have legitimacy. So, the Republicans are demanding that Barack Obama get tougher on the leader who appears to have seized power, and many people in the United States are changing their Twitter profile icons to the color green to show that they are in solidarity with protesters there.
In Honduras, there has also been a dispute over transfer of power, with two leaders, Manuel Zelaya and Roberto Micheletti, claiming to have legitimacy. Yet, the Republicans are not demanding that Barack Obama get tough on Micheletti, the leader who appears to have seized power, and no Twitterers here in the United States are changing the color of their profile icons in solidarity with anyone there.
Why the difference?
Nice observation.
No fantastic Michael Jackson videos either.
ps- Ajmadinejad won the election, but people just don’t like the election.
