The Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland has $100,000. What to do with that money?

Roman Catholic Diocese of PortlandChoice A: Remedy a $48,000 deficit in the Biddeford Parish, save three churches there from closing, and establish a $52,000 financial security fund for the parish in the future.

Choice B: Close those three churches down and spend the money on an effort to keep gay and lesbian people who aren’t Catholic from being able to get married anywhere at all.

You can guess what choice the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland made. Churches come second to persecuting gay people.
